The fans loved steve bruce when he was here. I'm sure we all got a little tired of his tactics once we went a goal ahead, but we had some great success under him. Wouldn't want to see him back now though. I think a rosie/daws combination is the right decision for us now.
Sorry, I just see red whenever I see that said and it was late when I read it. I just love this Club.
I can't see what all the fuss is about Steve Bruce coming back? Who's said anything about him coming back, has he applied...Erm,no? For what it's worth, some of the insults dished out to him on here are totally over the top and based solely on a personal dislike for the man.I'll never forget the success he brought us during his stint, why would I,it was a fantastic journey which ended when he left!!!
7 wins in 12 games at Derby. So, that would play out as about 27 wins over a 46 game period. Enough to make the playoffs at least. Mad for sacking him.
Grimsby had joint-managers a few years ago in the conference. Can't imagine there's any rule against it in the EFL/PL either.
They did, can’t remember the name now, but there was one who was always ultra angry. Made listening interesting for a change.
Gritt and Curbishley were pretty successful as joint managers of Charlton in the early 90s in the second tier.
Just to say, 2 of these wins were in the EFL Cup and 1 in the EFL Trophy, his league record was a less glamourous W4 D2 L3 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/liam-rosenior/profil/trainer/62134
It’s pretty decent when you consider the context of how their summer transfer window went. Pretty similar circumstances to us but genuinely had to bring in that number of players due to only having 5 at the start
Yeah, you’re right, can’t remember his name either but he made Nigel Pearson come across like a pussycat. Liverpool did it in the early 90’s too with Evans and Houllier but it wasn’t particularly successful and didn’t last long. I suspect that was probably down to egos and I’d like to think that wouldn’t be the case with Rosie & Dawson.
Why would you assume that? There were many things Ehab (In particular) did that SB didn't agree with. The launching of the membership scheme, the debacle over Andre Gray etc. The journey was anything but fantastic while Enob was still with us after SB left
