Talk about riding your luck. And unlike other games where once chance is one goal against we had the post and keeper save us. 0-3 or 3-0

Absolutely routine 2nd half after a scary bad first 30mins. Everything about it was poor, sloppy listless, nervy. Terrible passes, no press, no shape but one pass and salah scores and ajax show why they've been beaten up recently

Delighted to put this to bed and we can come back in Feb in knockout football.

If we can scrape by now til Nov 12 with 3 league get and 1 league cup game I'll be happy with 7 points amd a caravan Cup win.

Funny game tonight, a win, a clean sheet always good. Our midfield was poor again and we were lucky not to concede in the first half. Totally different game after the opening goal and all the goals were very well taken. I hope Hendo is not injured

 

I would think he has to be a doubt for the weekend but considering Thiago was out with an "illness" hopefully he will be back .

 

Didn't do a lot but what he did do looked tidy. Held his position well and seem to read the play well too.

yep but in my defence i've had a **** day* and am now pretty drunk tbf

* at least the little fooker was perfectly behaved on her walk for once.

 

Ajax were spent after 25 or 30 minutes,you could see the tide was turning well before we scored.
First goal was beautiful from Hendo and exquisite from Mo.

Start was a bit worrying, but once we settled down we controlled the game. Thought Elliott was our best player. Going to be an odd draw for the next round with Juventus and Barca out

 

Yeah. He had a decent pre season (I know doesn’t mean much) but was full of energy. Neat and tidy

Great result. Really pleased to see them running and chasing right up to the end.

 

Couldn't watch, so I'm going to assume we dominated them start to finish with a three goal win. Nothing any of you say can convince me otherwise.

 

That's one goal conceded in four games now (all competitions), two in five, with four wins from five. Not conceding really helps.

And the one goal conceded was by an ex-Liverpool player, so it doesn't really count, right?
