He’s not. And we know he’s not from his time here, and before and after us, if some city fans could only pull the wool from their eyes.

    He’s a massive twat.

I’d like to know if there is any real proven managers interested.
However if for whatever there is t and they decide to go down the young manager, I’m more than happy with Rosie

Apparently it was a piece of piss for ehab to get silva as agents tout managers to clubs
So that been the case we should have plenty of managers to choose from
So to go with rosenior is a ****ing joke

as an unproven and inexperienced manager, i'd imagine rosenior would be on the low scale of wages relative to other managers

Yeah, Acun out Ehab in. All is forgiven...

Though I expect being in the premier league had something to do with us being able to attract Silva. We're not in that price bracket, nor are we in the price bracket of WBA, Watford or the other championship parachute clubs.

A bit negative Chazz, plenty of Managers may well have been sounded out and Rosenior impressed better than them?

If this does happen and of course we don’t know if it will, I can’t imagine that they’re doing it because they think it’ll be a crowd pleaser. I just wonder if they’ve intentionally gone about putting a management team together that they feel can work, rather than bringing someone in with their entourage.
If so, it is a gamble but the three existing (albeit two are very recent additions too) members of the team seem to have gelled pretty well thus far. Maybe Rosie is the final piece of the jigsaw.

Maybe they're just sounding Rosie out at the same time as waiting and seeing on Dawson?

And it's also worth noting the quote is 'one of the stronger candidates' not the 'preferred' or 'strongest' candidate.

I'd rather he be number 2 to Dawson! Just my thoughts.

Maybe we could do something like making one first team head coach and the other head of footballing operations so one could always be on gardening leave at any given time, depending on results ?

I'm not sure you can say because Rosenior had as many wins as McCann then they're equal in quality. He was a big part of Rooney's team and Derby's almost survival in the Championship the previous season, and is clearly a very intelligent, young manager. I'd be more than happy to have him with Daws as senior assistant.

Keeping Dawson on the staff is key for me. Whoever the next coach may be, it's a near statistical certainty that he will get another chance sooner or later.

I’m just surprised at such a U-turn in approach if we go for Rosie.

Arveladze was undoubtedly a mistake and appointing Martins would have been a massive upgrade in terms of experience.

Rosie being an ‘intelligent, well thought of’ young British manager with club links smacks of Acun trying to unearth a new Potter or Howe. In tandom with the new data analysis (Pardo) it seems as though Acun has tore up the original plan.

The new plan, if that’s what it turns out to be might be the right one. We could query why he didn’t go down this route to start with but the most successful people aren’t afraid to admit when the get it wrong and make big decisions and changes to get it right.

Acun's been in business long enough to know that plan A rarely works out. You've got to learn as you go along.

He obviously hoped that Shota was good enough to lead us to the PL, but he wasn't so we have to adjust.

Although I must admit I wondered why someone so successful would take such a punt on a manager like Arveladze.

Plan A rarely works but he could have given himself a much better chance going for a proven manager.

I’m not sure there’s a big difference though, don’t get me wrong I’m ok with Rosie getting the job. Neither him or shota have a proven record, I think plan b should have been getting a proven manager
