Yeah its long mate. 4 weeks without solid food Think I was listed in Jan/Feb time but it's at hospital I used to work at and I already knew the consultant beforehand so I dunno if that pushed me up a bit. Luckily Upper GI one of least busy specialities down here atm so was okay. ENT was a 2 year wait iirc. All a bit of a postcode lottery in terms of waiting times and level of care tbh.
Well if they do I know who to blame... Still waiting for a bed atm anyway. Speaking to the sister and apparently theatre recovery has become a bit of a holding area in recent months. Prob end up being discharged straight from here in morning lol.

What sort of hernia is it as might be different? Mine was a hiatal so they were ****ing around with the bottom of oesophagus. Apparently I might never be able to throw up again which will be weird. I ended up waiting 6 hours for my drugs to go home and then dropped and smashed the oramorph outside my house
Inguinal, so not urgent. I do get problems though and it poked through and I was a mess, puking and high temp with pain. It then settled down again so they sent me home, had a night in A&E.
