He is head and shoulders above anyone else at the club so why not? Let’s hope others contracts don’t include the shearer clause!!!
I'm all for it, sign them up, let them prove themselves then reward them.......Just not all of them with the Shearer clause
****ing magic. The ambitious clubs don’t **** the bed about this they pay what’s necessary. This is hoooooooge news.
Isn’t he on a 4 year contract. If this is true then it’s scary and brilliant at the same time. He is literally the best player we have had for decades.
And wants to be a legend at the Toon. “Bruno Guimaraes is looking out over the pristine playing surface at an empty St James' Park. Less than 48 hours ago, he was there, in the middle of it all, helping Newcastle win a third game in four, his name reverberating around the ground as it so often does. "The best stadium in England and the best atmosphere in the Premier League," he tells Sky Sports. "When we play at our home, it's like playing with 12, always. The support is fantastic. It's very hard to play against us here, with our fans so close to the pitch." Everton, beaten by a single goal on Wednesday night, are just the latest side to struggle. "It's great for us," Bruno smiles, "but not so great for our opponents." Since the turn of the year, Newcastle have lost only once in 15 Premier League home games.”
Bruno’s son’s a Geordie Bruno’s son’s a Geordie la la la la, la la la la Bruno’s son’s a Geordie Bruno’s son’s a Geordie la la la la, la la la la
And so it starts..... Chelsea could make a bid to sign Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, 24, from Newcastle, but the Magpies are hoping to fight off the interest by offering him a new club record contract. (Goal)
I know, nobody was interested last January,it's like let Newcastle do all the hard work and then we'll sign him.
I'm not gay but I think, like a son, I love the man. Hopefully Bruno will continue to enjoy life with us. He seems totally settled here. I'm sure his agent will be getting calls from a small selection of clubs - those with proper funds. The only clubs that could stump up his market value - my estimation is £150m - are Man City, PSG and Real Madrid. He'd have to want to go, as we wouldn't be interested in getting a big income fee but losing a player whose positively affecting our results.
