Off Topic Milan

I'm off there in a few weeks time for five days, have any of you been (certainly no mackem ever has)? Got any traveller tips/ places to visit? Grazie in advance, Dorty Dogbreath

I'm going to ask the Milanese if they've ever seen a mackem?

 

Seriously though try the small local restaurants the food is amazing. It’s a few years since I was in Milan and can’t remember the names of the restaurants (if they’re even still there) but don’t go to the cheapo’s but go to the small family type restaurants you’ll not regret it.

Defo gonna do the Cathedeal. We were in Naples in August, and went to Pompei...the 2000 year old ruined town was more modern than Naples itself!

 

When you go to Duomo, head down the sides streets around it for the best food places. Don't drink in the square unless you have won the lottery.

Check out La Scala too... stunning....

 

Especially if you see a weird guy called Alberto, wearing mustardo chinos and asking everyone for a free beer.

 

Nice one Chippy When I was in Naples in August, I chanced upon a shop which was a shrine to Maradonna. When I went in there was no one there...but there was a life-size cutout of the little cheating bastard. I was tempted to punch it, old memories and all that...

 

Dorty now reporting live from Milan. Just arrived and no mackems anywhere to be seen. More to follow.

 

Milan Day 2: Raining here today, after visiting Duomo we had a couple of drinks in a football themed pub, lots of football memorabilia and mainly English tops, including ours but no mackem top We did see a shop called Slumberland though, probably fits the mackems perfectly

Are the Red Tour Buses still running?

 

We are doing the hop on tomorrow...that's the bus service and not my sexual gratification Some twat in the room above has been moving furniture about all day

 

Dorty's Daily Milan Blog: Day 3. Still no sight of any mackems here, to be fair why would there be as they've never played here! We've just got back from the hop on bus tour, I caused quite a stir by casually spitting from the top deck onto the milan people below me on the street (old memories of them doing similar). I was going to chuck a cup of piss over the top but wifey stopped me! More tomorrow, arriverdechtie.

There are loads of fashion shops, obviously, but not one of them have mustard chinos in the window...
