If you saw particularly Fulham's second goal last night, if we had a striker with half that ability we would be certainly pushing for a top of the league position. Should the Allams push the boat out to get a good quality striker in January and be prepared to splash the cash?
It's not like we don't have decent strikers, just that they all have the same weakness. If we had someone who needed less than 6 chances to score I'm sure we'd be doing even better than we are. But for now I don't see us getting one, so we should just give our full support to the ones we have.
IMO, if City are around where we are now then YES i expect the Allams to release funds for NP to bring in another top goal scorer. i bet AP/NP have names in mind already.
We've got strikers with more than half that ability. Johnson's a 1 in 3 goalscorer, same as Matt Fryatt.
I don't think it needs pointing out that Johnson is playing at a higher level and has been for a long time (and has scored goals at the frequency you state for much longer). Also, Johnson is quality aside from his goal threat.
