Stewart's, agent is winding the whole situation up. He knows the closer to the window the more we will chuck at the deal, but the chance of prem footy appeals to RS.
That would be awful. Simms hasnt earned that price tag and Stewart is worth far more to us than £8m, even he eventually goes for free. The value of staying up this season next outsrips it. Sadly players and agents hold a lot of power, but hopefully Stewart is a decent lad and doesnt make January difficult for us. I would rather keep him this season and lose him for half that in the summer.
That would be a very poor deal on both counts and one I’d hope we’d tell Everton to stick where the sun doesn’t shine.
