I think there's multiple factors to consider a) the players actually might give a **** about the CL. they clearly have given up on league b) the manager might actually pick a side that gives a ****. (milner RB, Two kids wide, etc.) c) this is an away game. Frankly we looked like scared kittens against napoli and against forest we didn't shake ourselves at all. As an away game it'll be a big atmosphere (it always is at ajax, great place to go) d) we have a lot of injuries to contend with e) we have a ot of players who are just not fit enough. f) ajax must win and win by 2 goals. Overall We got a damned good look at ajax a home and they are ****e. Napoli hockeyed them when it mattered. it was 0-1 to 5-1 kind of naploi performance and then ajax get a red card so it ended 6-1. I think we will pick the best possible team here and we will likely also actually give a stuff, i think the game is set up for us to play like we did v city and counter well. this would suit salah and allow elliott to just run about covering players and putting a good shift in. Put salah and nunz up top and think very had baout LW slow. I'd even ask firmino to take one this once ofr the team and shut that side down like a good pro.
