I think it's good that whether you like the guy, his policies and his party or not it's a complete non-story that he's the first non-white PM we've ever had.
Yet everyone keeps making it part of the story. Boris Johnson's grandfather was Turkish and only took on the name Johnson when people were after him. That's never mentioned, or his German background either, so why do the media keep banging on about Sunak's grandfather and his religion.
I've genuinely sat in work once or twice over the past few years and had a Pakistani guy explain in great detail that they're naturally more intelligent people and that they are succesful in the UK because we have always been morons. I think you're wrong tbh. It's not just him who's asking for one. Sunak wasn't even elected by his own party, just the only one left. Mordaunt was lying when she said she would reach the necessary support, so was Johnson. The public know they've been thrown a PM no one voted for.
