Does anyone know if we are going to get an additional allocation? Apparently, we were only given 997 and all are sold out.

Seems strange. The stand at that end holds 4,000. They normally sell tickets for the upper tier first and then for the lower if sold out. I read when Coventry wen they were initially offered 1973 tickets and they immediately sold out so they ended up with 2953. Boro took about 3,000 there. Neither were the supposed capacity but still far more than our initial allocation. Coventry’s initial allocation was twice ours.

It will be a lottery getting to Millwall and back with the train strikes threatened.

I've got one but not sure if I'll be going as getting back could be difficult. Booked on a coach leaving Victoria at 7.30, but would be ample at any other ground, but I've heard the police have been known to hold away fans back for up to an hour there

Never happened to us, straight out on full time for as long as I can remember. Walk to Surrey Quays underground. You’ll easily get to Victoria for 7:30.

I've only been twice, but never got held in, they even give you a lovely cage to walk through when you leave.

I've experienced this at a few games(holding back away fans).I just tell whoever's trying to keep me back that I have transport to get and haven't ever been told that I 'must' stay.More a 'be it on your own head'/'it's for your own safety' type statement.

I've been to pretty much every game at the New Den and we've never been held back. Maybe happens with the likes of West Ham but don't think it's what happens often.

I think you may get held back if trying to get out any other way than the caged walkway to South Bermondsey station. But from there it’s just a 5 minute train ride or so to London Bridge overground, change to the underground, then 20 minute tube ride and six minute walk to Victoria coach station. So loads of time.

You could hop in an Uber and go direct from South Bermondsey to Victoria in about half an hour.

I suspect you might have a bit of a job finding a black cab in South Bermondsey when a Millwall game has just finished.

In fact, I suspect you'd have a job finding a black cab in South Bermondsey at any time. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Ah ok - well will the walkway be open then? Sounds like he could have problems.

There is another coach at 10 but would mean an arrival through my front door at around 4 in the morning, and it's megabus which I don't entirely trust, although never used so they might be alright

He won’t have any problems. There are no post match restrictions on people moving around the stadium at the end of the game.

Thanks for advice on ticket availability and the alerts to the rail strike, completely oblivious to that. Oh well, on to Cardiff for first live game in almost 3 years.

If you're up to it it's a 5-mile walk, fully understand though if you're not.

On a warm early or late season evening I wouldn't mind it at all. Think the tube is probably the best option in November though. If we do get kept in, although it doesn't sound likely, I'll just ask to be let out so I can catch my coach.
