The Forest result has given me false hope of an upset. Any sort of draw would be great. A win would be amazing, given our injuries and form. A grey day on Teesside about to get greyer.
Do you think at this stage the board are thinking like that? I think they’ve probably seen enough and are waiting for the right time. Maybe a few astounding results might make them delay but I don’t think they’re taking it game by game. A bit like when adkins was sacked during an upturn in form.
If the season were to end as it is with Saints in 15th do you think the board would be unhappy? Would you be unhappy?
I predict a lot of fans are gonna lose their minds when they see the lineup and who Ralph has left out of the XI…
I don’t know, I guess I’d be happy. We’ve spent quite a bit but have obviously neglected CDM and not bought a striker, so what can you expect? If we start to play attractive football again and maybe bloody the nose of a big club that would be ok. But can you say that awful run is behind us and won’t be repeated?
No but I’d be pretty confident in predicting that we won’t go down if Ralph stays, we won’t do much better than 15th either. We will go on some run for about 5/6 games where we win a few and draw the others which will get us over the line, like basically all the other seasons he’s been here.
