It was the stimulus packages governments around the world were throwing at their people during COVID. They tried to avoid recession, but all they've done is roll the snowball further down the mountain and now it's enormous. Will be a bigger recession now than if they hadn't done all the stimulus. As, I said earlier though, I think this will be a nasty recession, but will be followed by an economic boom once it's over.
Not really. We've not had a strong boom following the last two recessions. The recoveries from recessions in recent decades we recovered from with a whimper. The economy hasn't been burning hot since the 90's.
Neither am I and I've got someone trying it on against me from a few months ago (only tapped his car at about 5mph). Today was different, the guy was doing about 30mph when he hit us. Neck and back have got worse since. Been at the hospital for the last six hours getting checked over, no breaks fortunately.

If there are 100 idiots (and we know now there are about double that number) in the tory parliamentary party then the only means for this to not go to the gammon vote is if somehow Johnson is told he will be arrested if he stands on partygate. The gammons will put Johnson in. End of. Sunak hasn't even bothered to say he's the man to lead the country out of this disaster and whatever. Boris, a thoroughly disgraced politician who broke the laws his own government implemented, and repeatedly lied about it. Any sane country wouldn't even allow him to stand.
He looks like he's been on 3 bottles of wine minimum per day while on a taxpayer paid luxury holiday during active parliamentary time. If he can get 100 morons to vote for him in tories to get in front of the gammon then he is in. The only means to have a ge is if 50 tories cross the chamber or if the public lynch 80 off tory mps.
