well i stuck with 'rings' and 'dragons' ...rings hit the last one of the season and still a bit of a struggle to watch but did improve. dragons built nicely to the final part of the season (as expected) no doubt it will end with a massive scene to keep us all 'enthralled' till next season, i understand they had to build the background and that is the reason for it seemingly taking forever to get going so hoping the 2nd season really kicks off. the problem is, i hope they are not dragging things out all the way just to fill more episodes/seasons than is actually needed...one reason i stuck with GoT was that it had an ending and was not going to turn into another overstretched soap opera that just ended up doing anything they could to get one more season out of it.
I watched first couple of seasons years ago. Thought it was good but I stopped having access to streams and never got back in to it.
Andor is top class. You can tell it was filmed before the absolute insulting guff that was Book Of Boba Fett and Kenobi. Before Disney was just desperate for content.
'Made In The 80s' started tonight on Channel 4. Excellent so far. This is the Cold War, kids. Us fogeys lived through it. Actual fear for your life, Protect And Survive, and Barratt Homes available from 8 grand all the way up to 50 grand....crackers when you think about how we just got on with it.
Just finished watching Devil's Hour on prime and been watching the Old Man on Disney plus but its one of those episode a week one's so need to wait for the next one. Both worth a watch imo!
Not a big star wars fan as I didn't get in to it as a kid (I've watched the first film but none of the others) but I enjoy sci fi. Watched the mandalorian and really enjoyed it. I didn't watch the original star trek TV series so I watched discovery and enjoyed it but I know fans hate it!
I know there are a few fans of Brenda's Gleeson on here has anyone watched Mr Mercedes? Any good worth me finding it on my iptv? Any reviews of Sherwood on BBC?
A few historians have said it plays a bit loose with the truth, but as long as it's good fun I'm fine with it. I enjoyed it.
I've also been catching up with The Icpress File this week. Not bad at all. Pleased they didn't try to update it to modern times. The lad who's starring in it's no Michael Caine mind.
Bosch is brilliant, the best original to come from Amazon Prime imo. It's very modern noir, the atmosphere and bleakness of it reminds me a lot of James Ellroy's novels on LA crime.
I'm not as into the story as much as other Star Wars stuff, it was the same with Rogue One, but quality wise it's the best Star Wars has ever been. Weird watching something in the franchise with such a high level of writing and acting and it looks great.
Been watching gangs of London and ground to a halt, just done reacher was ok, also did darhmer (psycho) Hannibal is probably my most recent favourite
Andor is class like. I've always loved Star Wars as I grew up watching it but it's never been genuinely 'good' until now. They need to get the people who made it tied up to the franchise and get them working on their biggest projects. Seems to be three blokes called Gilroy who are the writers and creators, brothers maybe.
