I know i will join in if we lose and the crowd turns. Hopefully they direct some abuse to the owner and his cronies.

LoL makes a sound point regarding CBs. Whats the difference this season with Everton? Tarkowski and Cody are solid

I guess I’ve got mixed feelings because we don’t 100% know the truth. When things go bad I agree it’s easier to focus on the negatives.

The striker fiasco: Augustin, the failed attempts at players with no interest CDK and Gakpo, the loan flops.

Would Bielsa have walked before promotion if we didn’t give him total say yes, but in hindsight you’re giving him total say on which transfer targets you find.

It’s fine, we got promoted but then the wheels come off and we spunk our small budget on James and Firpo and the seasons previous signings of Koch, Llorente and Rodrigo look a waste of money.

So we say lessons have been learnt but we bring in a coach who can’t work with the inherited squad so we go out and sign his targets.

Lessons obviously haven’t been learnt, if Victor is a director of football bring in decent players who a decent coach can work with.

If he isn’t then it’s fine, we blame the manager but it makes his position pointless.

So when Jesse gets sacked, do we bring in a Dyche who works with what he’s got, do we bring in someone who plays a high press and works with this group or do we start all over again

I don’t trust Orta to get it right

We don't know what REALLY goes on but the official line is that Orta gets a shortlist of players that might fit the style of play and sits down with the manager who then has his say on his preferences.

Approaches are made to multiple targets and from there a signing is hopefully made.

It's supposed to be a joint decision. Pinpointing just Bielsa, Orta or Marsch for blame just doesn't sit right with me. I think the yuppy term is collective responsibility whichever way it goes.

Ultimately the failure to obtain a natural goalscorer has and will continue to be the main limiting factor in this team. Orta, and to a lesser extent Radz, has to shoulder the blame on that one as they have been constants throughout.

Goid point about orta and to me after fat kevs fiasco anyone else would have got the sack. We tried to sign a striker and their dof refused?. Turns out the club needed the money and it was a decent offer. Forgot which guy it was we tried to sign.

I think I’d be asking the medical team how he passed his medical? In fairness that’s not down to Victor Orta

Roughly £275m spent on players since our return to the top flight and that doesn’t include Augustin.

About £113m received for sales. I’ll bash Radz when he deserves it but if someone had told you those figures on the last day of the 2019/20 season you’d have been wondering what delight and how many strikers does that include no?

Fulham first season back, a net spend of £36m

We might feel there wasn’t enough spent this season but the first two there was a lot of outlay, was it spent wisely?

We can’t blame Radz so that just leaves Orta ;)

You're not factoring in current squad value against the value of the squad that achieved promotion.

Pretty sure we could just about balance the books through sales if needed although obviously that would leave us with Championship standard players again.

    Last season the problems were:
    • Small squad
    • Injuries
    • Bielsa stubbornly refusing players.
This season the problem seems to be:
    • Marsch tactics
    • Lack of a striker

Did he pass his medical? At least one player didn’t. Blame Orta all you like but he isn’t a doctor.

Victor Orta is our Director of Football and after a generation away from the big time promotion was achieved. Also we're now enjoying our 3rd consecutive season back in the PL and all of this under his watch.

What criteria exactly are you judging him by ?
