This photo must've been taken early on because all the empty seats close to the flags on the right filled up. If you zoom in, I'm the fat baldy bloke with his hands in his pockets next to the England flag.
He didn’t, but he shouldn’t be wrapping his arms around defenders and watching the ball bounce regardless of who is in front of him. It seems like playing at left back has allowed him to carry the ball out and only focus on one opposition player.
You could see them during the game. A few block of 3 or 4 seats dotted about. Maybe some didn’t turn up for various reasons or we sold all the seats sent to us as we announced all tickets had been sold.
I know what you mean but not really for me, since Daws has taken over there’s been a gradual improvement, quite unbelievable change in personnel/positions. Who else would have thought to put Longman in for Oscar, or Greaves on the left wing? And it’s all culminated in the last two quite unbelievable and fantastic performances/results.
I know i'm still a bit pumped with adrenalin, but that genuinely is up there with one of the best league away days with City - alongside the 4-2 at Weds
Hull interim manager Andy Dawson told BBC Radio Humberside: "I thought to a man we worked extremely hard tactically and technically in the right areas, we were willing to put our bodies on the line and the first half was going to plan right to the last kick of it. "We brushed that disappointment away and the second-half performance was absolutely top drawer, I thought they were excellent. I really enjoyed watching them and we looked a really good football team." (On the vacant manager's role): "I haven't spoken to anyone, but like I've said from minute one, if this team plays well and the fans come and we get three points and everyone goes home happy, whatever part I am in that I'm more than comfortable."
This midfield would be horrendous to play against. You come up against Longman, Doch, Slater, Woods and Pelkas pressing you high and relentlessly so you either end up turning the ball over in bad areas or giving the ball to Seri/Woods who subsequently have plenty of time on it. Barlaser is usually very impressive, but he got caught on it a number of times. It wasn't like they had a low mobility midfield either, Rathbone is a Honeyman V2 and they missed him badly when he went off. By design, it's beautiful. It's a very industrious midfield from last year with the added quality and technical ability. I'd love to see Allahyar in this side on the right. He'd be devastating.
Thankfully was the International 3pm game so have a full match replay on demand, shame we don't get that with iFollow although sounds like that's changing in the near future. Great performance and really starting to see Dawson's impact on the side now. Even the losses under him haven't been the awful, clueless performances we got under Shota. I wouldn't give it to him permanently but he's clearly shown his potential and quality as a manager and is someone we need to keep around to help the transition to the new manager.
Today's result and performance was never in doubt. I took my boys today and every game they have ever been too we have won. Maybe I should start a Go Fund Me thingy to get us there every week
I don't see how it should even be up for debate right now. Andy deserves some time at least. We're playing the style of football Acun has wanted us to play, we're scoring goals and winning games. It just seems like complete lunacy to bring someone in now. Give him at least the next 2/3 and see how it develops
We've played two weak teams in the last 7 days, people really do knee jerk far too much. We lose the next two and the same people would be screaming for his head.
They have to get him out of that habit, it's another penalty waiting to happen. I've said it a few times, his first thought is to put the player off by pulling his shirt not go to head the ball.
