While I agree Keogh looks good on the ball the facts are the McCormack and Keough partnership have scored ONE goal in FIVE games which is simply not good enough. If Keough is the provider he isn't providing, for me if playing 4-4-2 you want 2 strikers who can score goals not one. You have a couple of creative midfielders, one who can cross the ball and one who can supply the killer through ball, if you are going to play a striker who scores very few goals and argue he is creative drop him and play with an extra midfielder.
I actually dont think Odea has been bad tbh! and he has scored 2 very good goals. Hes better than any other CB we got unless Obrien has finally got his fitness back
Westlake, did you used to post on BBC606? ? The big question is would you sign O'Dea in January or send him back to Celtic & try & bring in another CB of better quality & throw him straight in? We havent had a settled back four all season due to injurys/suspensions so how much is that a factor when it comes to the goals against collum?
Bucks I wouldnt sign him! I love the way Tom Lees plays I really think hes going to be a gem, reminds me of Woodgate, Solid and attacks the ball no matter whos in the way! I would like to see Monty Gimpel given a run out he would be worth more of a punt than signing odea Could do with an experienced head whos still go the legs.
If we wanted a cumbersome CB who was prone to the odd defensive error but chipped in with one or two vital goals we might as well kept hold of Lubo Michalik. He also would have given us much needed height at the back.
well he's just plain simply not the best CB we have, only because we have Lees, Kisnorbo, Bromby, O'Brien and Bruce but other than that he may be better at CB than Becchio and Paynter
I meant hes better to accompany tom Lees than any of the others you mentioned! Its only my opinion so dont have a cry about it
odea/lees/paddy are clearly the best 3 CBs we have, and the only 1s who arent in the 'absolutely ****ing useless' catergory therefore its unlucky that we are missing 2 of them in the same game (if odea is still out) out of the rest bromby should never play again after brighton game, obrien may be worth a punt if its true he has regained full fitness, and bruce is just a missing person
O'Dea's been decent IMO. Made one awful mistake against Cardiff but apart from that has been fairly solid. If given the chance I would sign him in January along with a new CB and put O'Dea on the bench.
I liked bromby but agree that his performance against Brighton hasnt helped his cause, I also think Bruce would be a good choice but would only play him at the side of Lees (so he can recover any mistakes)
