Tyler might be injured or ill or whatever but we still should want him to do well. We'll either get a nice fee for him or he'll come back and be needed in the Championship next season.
Leeds result of the day Sunderland with Jack Clarke up front go 2 up to Burnley and concede 4 goals in the 2nd half to lose 2-4
So you're saying that when Orta gets it right then he is lucky. When he gets it wrong it's because he's ****? Hardly a balanced view there bud. He's made some **** signings but he's also made some inspired ones.
Yep, I don’t have enough hair as it is, no point in tearing the rest of it out till the end of the season.
Yep. I've not been overly concerned as I think the performances haven't been the worst we've seen but against Leicester the lads seem to have their heads down for the first time this season. We need a bit of luck (I.e not every Fulham shot hitting the back of the net) and 3 points to get the lads heads up again. Make or break tomorrow.
When it comes to coaches he’s got it right once. When it comes to players far more misses than hits. To say Jesse was top of the bunch out of 40 something coaches to replace Bielsa, we get Jesse and he can’t get his methods over to Bielsas ex players so he brings his own in we’re equally as bad Even his best signing, Raphinha he had huge spells of looking bad. Ortas job is to sign players and coaches for a smooth transition. What we’ve had is Bielsa picking his own, refusing others. We’ve then had Jesse signing his own, we’re stuck between having an old fashioned manager calling the shots and a director of football, it surely has to be one or the other
Looking at the table knowing we need an average of 1 point per game minimum to stay up. Comparing to teams we should be fighting and beating: Brighton average 1.36 per game Fulham average 1.36 Brentford 1.27 Palace 1.18 Bournemouth 1.18 Everton 1.08 Southampton 1 Leeds 0.9 Villa 0.8 Wolves 0.8 Forest 0.75 Leicester 0.72 i can probably guess that Villa and Wolves will have new managers shortly and their squad should mean they will improve under new management. I also think Brentford and Brighton are doing the right things, but fk me Leeds need to get out of the gutter fast or its going to be a much worse season than last
I think if we lose tomorrow the fans will kick off. The Liverpool game will be his last. There's no way back if he loses tomorrow. Its a defining moment in the clubs future.
The only thing in our favour at the moment is our goal average, last season it felt we were another point behind due to the size of it. We need to win tomorrow, we’ll no doubt lose to Liverpool then the board have a huge decision to make stick or twist. Wolves Leicester tomorrow then Leicester have Man City, you can’t help but feel a huge merry go round is just around the corner
I want him to succeed obviously but I’m just not sold on his style of play. We’re too narrow. I get the idea is to make the opposition play wide, but if you do that you need dominant centre backs to deal with the crosses which we don’t have. It also means we can’t attack at pace when we win the ball back because we can’t move the ball quickly as the players are on top of each other. Southampton couldn’t do it nor could scum.
I'm not picking on you Rich, I'm really not, but I just don't get where you are coming from. He's only got one coach right? I'm guessing that's Bielsa? In my mind Bielsa was sacked and Jesse brought in to stave off relegation which he did. Was Jesse a success last season given his task to avoid relegation was achieved? His best signing was Raphinha who played **** sometimes? We made alot of money off Raphinha and he was player of the season (twice?). Success? You're saying Orta made **** signings but then say Bielsa and Marsch sign their own players? So how can Orta be fully to blame if managers are in charge of signing players? Like I say, I'm not picking at you, I just see alot of contradictions in alot of posts at the moment.
I get that and it's a very hit and miss system. Somewhat frustrating and I think we can all agree that we are frustrated. I don't mind the system. When it works and ALL the players are on point then we look fantastic. Examples of that are 2nd half vs Arsenal, Chelsea, First half vs Palace. We are virtually unplayable. The major weakness to the system isn't necessarily the long ball switch to the other wing because that usually comes about due to a single player not doing his job. We are reliant on EVERY single player adhering to the system. If ONE player doesn't press then it's fat too easy for opposition players to just pop it around us. The problem is that our players as individuals continue to have their heads firmly stuck up their own arseholes. Too many lapses in concentration which we see as Llorente dithering, Cooper brain farts, Firpo, Roca bad first touch, Rodrigo random 40 yard balls to their winger. These hurt us but are the obvious errors. However, the players are continuously making small mistakes like not pressing together, not getting in the box when a cross is coming in, little flicks and back heels losing possession, not hitting the ball hard and low when shooting....I could go on. All I'm saying is that the players were ultimately unable to carry out Bielsas instructions and now they can't carry out Marsch’s.
