We purposefully did corners at the near post though Whether thats targetting a weakness of their keeper or just accepting our centrehalfs are ****e at headers Fast ball into near post and hope for a pingpong effect
As opposed to conceding "just" a penalty and another "amazing shot that will happen once or twice a season" against Birmingham. Swings and roundabouts. Play like that in every game and we'll pick up regular points and the goals will come in many ways, shapes and forms
Tell you what, watching the highlights I hadnt realised last night, but Oscar's flick to greaves in the build up to Slater's goal was absolutely class
Corners at the near post are one thing, but I really can't imagine we planned for it to have to be kept in play by Woods at full stretch flicking it back over his own head.
It's a percentage ball. Unless it's cleanly won by an oppo defender then it's going to cause a problem - basically any touch causes chaos in their 6 yard box. The whip Pelkas tries to put on the near post corners also make them more difficult for defenders to judge the flight. It can also sometimes draw the goalie to the near post meaning he's out of position for any flick to the back post. So yes it's part of a strategy to get a situation where we have a chance to score if we react to the second-ball more decisively than them, which is essentially what happened.
So my backing the winning team paid off again, also not watching it was a master stroke. When I did watch it in the second half, when I got home, the feed went down & Slater got the 3rd. On Sunday I backed us to win & Doc to score, I seem to be always one game out!
https://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/more-abuse-by-hull-city-fans/ correct me if Im wrong but if we pay our money, we can abuse Blackpool snowflakes................... if Blackpool dont want opposing fans to have a go.............. dont let them have tickets........... simple.
yes obviously... did you read the article you fanny, or did you just have a go at me like the sweaty **** that you are?
Where does it mention City fans abusing Blackpool fans? You appear to be the world’s only surviving brain transplant donor.
In short,it doesn't! The article and investigation relates to alleged homophobic abuse aimed at one of our players by one of our fans.If it's found to be correct the person/persons responsible have no place on our terraces.Any cretin who finds behaviour like this acceptable needs rooted out by the Club and banished for life. A welcome 3 points in a crucial match has now been swept under the carpet and focus has now switched to crowd behaviour. This really didn't require the intervention and sports headline of the local rag though!!!
Patty is so consistently grasping the wrong end of the stick from three days prior that I sometimes suspect the whole account is actually a clever parody.
