You're wrong. Everything makes a difference. If you turn off your telly at the wall instead of leaving it on standby, you've contributed less to the climate issue than you would have done had you not done that. That's a difference, even it seems small. We don't have to make our lives "miserable"; we don't need to stop buying phones or using planes, we need to develop technology that reduces carbon emission and use fossil fuel-based systems less. Not "shut everything down and live like cavemen".
