I heard he had been dire.for you lot. I think a lot of our fan base put a lot of.faith in him over the last few years. I reckon he won't really do much in his career.

Nah I rather vote of confidence has gone tbh. I usually find that clubs start briefings the press on the replacement before the current manager gets sacked. Chelsea did it to Lampard before they brought Tunchel in and we did it to Bielsa before we brought Marsch in. There was talk that the board were looking at 'Marsch' style players in the January window that's why we were linked with Kenedy at Chelsea.

I never had much faith in Rodrigo, a bang average player. Bamford is well past his sell by date, he's lost much of his pace since he came back from injury (not that he was that fast in the first place). That leaves us with inexperienced kids as our attacking options. No wonder we can't score goals (1 goal in our last 4 games).

As for our defence, surely Dramah can't be any worse than Firpo. I really don't know what he brings to the team, can't defend, can't attack and is as slow as a boat. Llorente is always 5 minutes from his next mistake and to team him up with Firpo is completely bonkers.

As for the manager, someone said it earlier, Carlos Corberan would be an ideal replacement for Bielsa, he did a magnificent job with Huddersfield. JM seems out of his depth and Sunday is last chance saloon.

Bit different. Open secret that marsch was being lined up for the summer, with bielsa uncommitted to another year. They just brought it forward when the results and performances hit new lows. If you want a marsch style player we were linked with, how about aaronson.

The notion tha Bielsa was always leaving last summer is unconfirmed.

Unless you believe everything that Radz & Co feed to the media and for the record Marcelo never commited to another year until the previous season's outcome was known.

It is unconfirmed by bielsa… and it’s correct that he only ever went year by year, but radz kinnear and marsch have all alluded to it. Are we calling them out as liars.

Yep and then it gets repeated a few dozen times and suddenly it becomes fact.

So what you’re saying is if it doesn’t fit your narrative it must be spin<cheers>. My view is it could be true, could be bull. I don’t automatically believe or disbelieve anything coming from the board/management team.

My gut is they’d sounded him out… should mb not want to stay in the summer, and brought it forward when things went t*ts up. I can also believe the 49ers were pushing for a US manager, and that vic and mb weren’t aligned on transfers. All plausible. As of course is the big conspiracy theory that they just wanted mb out because they err, well whatever it’s a conspiracy. And it had nothing to do with the fact that we were sh*t all season and excruciatingly so last February.

I also believe that some are so blinded by their love of Bielsa that they’re in denial about certain things. Like the dressing room atmosphere at the time.
