Best of a bad bunch, wasn't it Sinisterra who hit the bar? even so, it was better than hitting the fan in row z

Both Summerville and Sinnestra look like they’ll improve with more game time, they both showed a bit of class in patches. They also both lost the ball a lot and both were easily knocked off the ball.

At present we can’t have them both in the same starting 11 it makes us light weight. I don’t think either looked committed enough when trying to press.

We also can’t really afford to have two DM’s as even though they’ve both done well it restricts creativity and still leaves the defence exposed to counter attacks.

Back to the drawing board for Ted. One of the DM’s has to go.

I commented a few weeks ago that Bielsa relied on one in KP and Jesse needs two for the job. I think at the time a few took it as a praise for KP, it wasn’t, it was just an observation that the current system relies on two so the attackers better be damned good.

Sadly, we’ve also wasted a lot of money on defenders who aren’t good enough. Koch is hit and miss, Llorente and Firpo, well say no more.

Jesse is a typical text book coach.

    I’d take Rod Hull and he’s dead…

talking of which, I had to Wiki when he died, I thought it was fairly recent. I was surprised to read 1999 I can’t believe it was 23 years ago

I don't mind the 2 DMs and I'll reason why.

Seems to me Roca is the one (like Phillips before him) who will sit really deep and be the insurance as the full backs push on to give the attacking width. That allows 2 more attackers with one sitting which is a positive move.

I think Tyler Adams can be a bit more confident going forward. His one negative is that he is a bit...well.. negative with his passes. He certainly was last night. I'd like to push him forward a bit more when we have the ball and let him dictate the play a bit more.

I think the bigger issue is at 10. We haven't had one since Pablo. We have no creative spark. Aaronson can't do it. I'd put him on the right with Kristensen as they have a good link up. Sinisterra on the left. That leaves a gaping hole at 10 that Harrison, Rodrigo, Summerville, Gelhardt, can't seem to handle. Gnonto might be good there in the tight spaces, I dunno. If we had a Pablo type player we would be much better.

My pick would be Buendia at Villa. He's energetic, creative, robust and can score goals. He's behind Coutinho in the pecking order.

With Gerard gone, Jesse must be feeling a bit nervous, been a long time since our last win, how many more defeats before Radz / Orta get nervous like they did with Bielsa?

Orta will see it as a fault of his, he championed Marsch, he knows the fanbase on the whole are against him (Orta), so will do what he can to keep Jesse here, hoping it gets better. All just my opinion.
