Dunno if posted elsewhere, but the voting for September goal of the month is out..... I don't care how many times I see it, it just gets better every time. The definition of "the beautiful game". https://www.efl.com/news/2022/octob...PY8R1GAEXpR2SAIZ1X4UjgTzJvGo8dQj469p-7IECKfoo
Seen a few comments on the twitter post and a lot of other fans were rooting for Lansbury. Not sure how that beats Clarke like.
Can't see it myself mind. Aye, he hits it well, and it either goes in or it doesnt. If it had gone wide, it wouldn't get another mention. Clarks goal had plenty of opportunities to go wrong, but every step fell into place perfectly. If it had gone wide, It would definately be a "what if" moment. It was that good.
That's goal of the season, never mind goal of the month. It should be up for the Puskas Award. There won't be 5 better goals in world football this year.
I think that the only way that ours wouldn't win would be 'cos of sabotage, if the voting link was to be posted on a different forum/site where some who perhaps don't like S.A.F.C. (where there may be a few skunks) were invited to vote, otherwise Clarky's goal should 'walk it'
If Clarke's goal doesn't win then I'd question the voting. Anyone with half a brain can see the class and skill, if Man City had scored that goal sky would still be showing it now
Lansbury's goal was a belter and a peach of a strike, I'd put it on the same level as Neil's pass to Clarke. When you add in all the sexy football that lead to that pass and the finish afterwards it's no contest imo.
I used that phrase over the road a couple of years back and had posters calling for me to be banned for shaming people with mental disabilities
Surely those suggesting you should be banned are shaming people with mental disabilities by suggesting the saying is about them?
Will be goal of the season as well. It was unreal. Cracking to see everyone involved in the pic as well - although I do wonder what the other 3 on the pitch at the time were doing - drop them I say
Was thinking the same. Can I just say again what a difference there is with Clarke once he got going. Thought he was all fart no ****e until about the play offs. ****ing tremendous player now that he has got going! Just wish I could donate him some of my beard cause that thing on his face is ****e
Don Goodmans comments.....sums it up pretty well. Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman said: “Ruthless efficiency from Tony Mowbray’s Sunderland, as they tore through Reading in a 7-pass sequence which a Pep Guardiola team would be proud of. “It was Clarke that converted the chance coolly, but the whole team deserve credit for one of the most breath-taking moves you’re likely to see all season.”
