I am not here to stir up trouble, just have a question. I have just seen the highlights from the Blackpool game and after seeing the 3 goals I have a tremendous amount of sympathy for Rachubka. Something was obviously not right, be it lacking in confidence, his mind was not on the game for some reason, or he is just not very good - either way, sympathy is what he gets from me. We had a keeper who played in the famous Colchester demolition of Norwich in L1, it turned out to be his 1 and only appearance. My question is. Before Rachubka was substituted (and rightly so for his own good) did he actually make any saves?
No his injury time blunder also cost us 3 points against Coventry and he has been making errors every game, Blackpool was just the final straw.
Thai Coventry he had 1 shot at him parried it to their attacker they scored Peterborough he had 2 shots at him they scored Blackpool 3 shots at him and they scored from all 3! He is the only goalkeeper ive ever seen that can't catch the ball! Thats why us Leeds fans where still singing to the end because we knew that the players left on the pitch where not responsible for it! Poor Tom Lees misses a game and if I was him id have kicked the **** out of Rachubka at half time. You know its bad when Grayson says "I think he forgot which team he was playing for"
I had not seen the goals from the other games! My god, I did not realise he was that bad! Good luck in finding a replacement, and soon
Thai It was funny to be honest because Blackpool where not that good and had 3 shots on goal and scored 3 goals, we had ten men on the field they used the space to pass it round us and tire us out and got 2 good goals in the 2nd half. When a team is down to 10 men and they are 3 nil down at half time n the manager takes the goalkeeper off that tells you how bad he was lmao. Kisnorbo passed it back to Rachubka and every Leeds fan booooood him songs of "youre the Scum of Elland Road" "what the **** is going on" Id have cried if I was the keeper lmao
booing and chanting scum to rachubka was horrendous, 'support the team or **** off home' was a chant i preferred
I didnt agree with the chanting but you can understand it, I cant believe the fans where singing "support the team of **** off home" then ten minutes later the same section started singing "Bates Out" Made no sense
I can only imagine the grief he was getting from the fans. Hell, he must have been feeling bad enough when the 3rd goal went in as he knew very well they were all of his making. Good chance no one is ever going to buy him from Leeds, and a good chance he probably doesn't want to play again (poor sod) so any money paid is going to be lost I would imagine. I really feel for the guy, no matter how bad he was - his career is potentially in ruins now.
I dont think he had a storming career anyway tbh! Hes just not good enough and we will sign a keeper in January and his contracted will be terminated!
Well! Bates & Grayson can act quickly and decisively when they really need to eh? Perhaps Bates does have the clubs interests at heart after all. (Runs away and takes cover)
