I voted tory last GE to get brexit done, I can't go back to labour with Starmer and his deputy at the helm.

The Green Party would appreciate your vote if it's just going to be one in protest.

This is my stance too right now. This Labour lead in the polls is nothing to do with their own competencies or policies, it is down to the conservatives letting a couple of economic fantasists loose for a week or two. I would bet my last 10 pence if the conservatives get back to basics, and put up people that can make Starmer, Reeves and co look like they are incapable, then the gap will slowly close. Sad state of affairs though we are in now, really sad. I laughed at the US for having an 80 something president as the best on offer. We seem to have very very few competent people. I would like to see Wallace get a grip of them all, literally in some cases, but suspect we as a country need him right where he is.

The gap has been widening for months. Truss has been a disaster, but the 3 months before that showed that the "brightest" in the party don't agree on anything and will tear strips off each other and leak stories. The 18 months before that we had a never ending amount of lies, sleaze and scandal.

Truss is a very convenient scapegoat. This is much more than a blip, It's been rotten for years.

Those deciding to vote conservative in the next election aren't floating voters anymore in my opinion, they've picked a side. Maybe there's enough died in the wool Tories willing to overlook the debacle of the last decade, but I think change is coming.

A consolation goal, or is a late comeback on the cards? The Conservatives are throwing the kitchen sink at getting an equaliser, but as it stands Watford are holding onto their lead for Managerial sackings in 2022.

I read some where they had to be in power for 2 months to get the allowance, but I can’t remember where.

Dont disagree too much, but whether the last decade has been all bad I dont know so much. Good stuff and bad stuff for me. Also politicians have a long history of scandal, from all sides of the house and you dont have to go beyond the last labour government for examples. There is an old saying that power corrupts, and maybe the tories have had too much power for too long and hence more corruption is to be found (that is not meant to sound like a defence of them, just pondering aloud). Labour have done a good job of forcing it all out in the open, all I ask is they maybe offer some political hope for a new government. As it stands I can see nothing from them that offers hope, sadly. Change for change sake is rarely a solution in my experience.

Money for Boris Johnson to come back is continuing to pour in. If he comes back I'll be voting for him, again.

    What a guy.

It turns out Jake Berry was quite prophetic a fortnight ago with his horrific slogan "When the going gets tough, the Truss gets going"
