But if Burn plays I want it to be at CB. The thread wasn't about Burn being dropped or not it was Targett being played. He was bought to play LB, Burn is a CB that can cover LB if needed. Targett has been missing most of this season. That's the issue.
The reason he's not playing CB is the colossal mother ****er that's being mint. He's also played LB more for Brighton than he did CB I believe. Schar's being playing well too, so I think it's a case of not screwing with a working formula. He's limited on the creative side at present as he currently has Murphy ahead of him but when Maxi is there he wouldn't be getting a kick in the opposition half anyway so we wouldn't notice the lack of creativity so much
Understood. I understand Targett being dropped due to illness but he's been out most of the season and I liked him last season It's a bit concerning because Burn offers little going forward. Targett offers decent balls into the box at least and his defending was good last time I remember.
I felt he should have come on at about the hour mark last night, when it was obvious we had got into a rut and were dropping deeper and deeper. I thought he might have just created a bit more. I thought there was a number of poor performances, just have to hope it's been a bit of tiredness but I'm starting to worry Joelinton has gone back off the boil again. Wilson chased and harassed in the first half but seemed off it 2nd half too. Murphy was dreadful, Longstaff is just utter utter ****. Most entertaining part of the game was a certain poster boy busting some dance moves pre kick off
Personally think Burn should be nowhere near left back unless it’s an emergency. Defensively speaking he’s solid but attacking wise offers nothing. Yes Murphy is **** but literally nothing from Burns to support him
