You only playing with 5 strings these days Kempton? Two theories. You're either trying to emulate 'Keef' or the price of a set of elixirs is out of your reach..
Best performance of the season that. All hail Berri, I can really start to see the sun breaking through after that prolonged period of rain now.
I have joined this thread late so apologies if it has already been mentioned but look at the starting line up. Bags of Championship experience, in fact only Pelkas that is not an established Championship player with a season or more under their belt. Its no coincidence for me that the minute he gets a solid British core in there who are used to playing at this level or similar we look more organised and composed and the confidence is back. I love Tufan, when he is on his game he is a great player, Sinik looks a handful too, but you cannot help but feel Acun/Shota tried to change too much too soon and add too many fancy players too quickly. Hopefully lessons learned and we can bring in a coach that understands the comp and a centre back to help add some experience and take pressure of Figgy who may be ok but not the leader the young players around him need.
I agree in part that Blackpool didn't look pretty but we gave them nothing(goal aside) and essentially we played them off the pitch.
As welcomed and enjoyable as last night's win was, it's true, Blackpool looked poor. Not meaning to detract from our performance, but posing a genuine question. How much of it was our much improved performance and inspired team selection, v's how much was it due to them missing players? How many first teamers were they actually missing?
Compared to blackpools last home game where they beat watford 3-1 The only two missing were the guys who got red carded v sheff u The only two missing from the 3-3 draw vs sheffu are the said two redcarded players Plus Coyle Elder Tetteh Allahyar Traore Emmanuel Etc etc
That's the Championship. How many times have we said that about our opponents this season? Luton, Stoke, Huddersfield...
