You are absolutely right although I think the ref should be in there too Not going to repeat about Taylor again - the problem here is the entire sport right through to grassroots is on a protect the refs charge. I totally understand why but they aren’t dealing with the cause of frustration for all involved in football don’t get me wrong the abuse I see from the parents and coaches is totally uncalled for so I understand the drive behind it but when a ref team churns out a performance like that what are the managers supposed to do they need imho to have a line of communication between everyone not hard for a ref/official to explain what they are seeing I am certain that would end a lot of the issues not all but a lot
It's needs sorting out mate. Referees need to be respected but also be accountable. It would be a massive change of mentality for all involved but it would be worth it.
Look, if you are paid 10 million or more to manage a professional team then there's a minimum level of decorum that you expect no matter how poor officials were. In my opinion managers should be able to say what they like up to the point of accusing refs of cheating. The fa have no right imo to charge managers for calling out Gross incompetence Now; guardiola absued the ref for going over the a screen following the normal var process after 3 outrageous decisions in his favour! No charge. Klopp lost the nut over a free in their half. Barked in the linos ear and at the 4th official. Imo he only has himself to blame These guys are acting up which then leads to the arrogant looking dismissive attitudes refs use rather than talking though decisions like we see in rugby.
Klopp frequently goes too far, imo - and he did on Sunday, but it annoys me that Guardiola got away scot-free when he was clearly berating the ref on his way to the monitor and for a while after the decision was announced. I think anyone who maintains that this behaviour has no influence on younger generations is fooling themselves.
Klopp was the first to admit he went over the top, and has apologised. So we move on. But what about the officials? Their mistakes don't get flagged, reviewed. No one is held accountable. They just get away scot free.
Have to agree. It is childish jumping up and down. Berate your own players but imo a manager should be able to freely call out rank reffing decisions without being charged. Refs need to take mistakes on the chin without phoney charges being brought. Saying that was an atrocious set of decisions that were plainly wrong and only var resolved luckily should not bring about a fine. Saying the ref was bribed would be going to far.
I see City's hierarchy are trying to pull the race card on Klopp now, to deflect from their dodgy accounting. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63309620
its a disgraceful question and article. A man says city can spend what they like. the whole world knows they can spend anything they want. someone stands up and basically shouts RACISM. certain parties working for the state run clubs like city and Newcastle seem to have no issue playing lip services to kick it out campaigns and that but then use the term to bash people not bending over backwards for their interests. eddie howe really ought to be ashamed of himself today. the journalist who asked klopp should be ashamed of themselves.
Listening to the commentary on that clip I'm thinking - yes it's definitely a yellow card ...... for Guardiola.
but look at the face of the 4th offical. chewing his gum away looing a the spoiled brat jump up and down. simply put, if klopp didn't scream in their ear outside his technical area... he wouldn't be charged.
so since city lost on sunday a) fans accused of coin throwing (no evidence) b fans accused of attacking bus (picture of side of window only, no cctv from bus etc) c) klopp accused of being racist xenophobe d) salah accused of handling ball that he scored off even though he was no where near it e) repeated claims of Henderson is a racist. It seems o be there is no depths city will go to target our club.
I've never seen anything like it. It's a shame because the real talking points are being completely overshadowed - a magnificent team performance and a spectacular assist for a brilliant goal.
