I don’t think we are good enough yet, mid table though, which means at time close to top. 6 , others nearer to bottom 6. A finish anywhere in that area would be acceptable

We always parked very early outside the Throstles Bar, 25 yards from the turnstiles.
That night was no different and whether we were virtually the first fans arriving but we never had a problem getting admission.
The game was like Rorke's Drift, but were we happy !

Anyone remember New Year’s Day 1977 or 1978, West Brom v Bristol City at the Hawthorns on a snow covered pitch in the old first division. West Brom. Were I think 3rd and us 5th (our highest ever placing in division 1). Driving up in the snow, didn’t arrive at the ground until about 20 minutes late, and could only get in at the West Brom end, to find we were 1-0 ahead and at that stage would have been second in the table. Hastily taking off my red and white scarf, watched the remainder of the match which we eventually lost 3-1, and West Brom went to the top of the table.
I must say that some of our passing was very impressive.
