Returned from the Algarve last week. The stork is the most noticeable bird there. They nest on rooftops, chimneys, telephone and power cable posts. We have seen them migrating to North Africa in November but many are now living permanently on the Algarve as the winters have got milder.

We were driving up to Monchique 2 weeks ago today and commented on the lack of storks seen so far then came across a field by roadside with hundreds settled there.

When we came back down they had gone from the field but were settled in and around a local river.

We usually see loads around Silves where they nest on roof tops, the castle walls etc and feed in the River Arade.

None of it migrated to my basket or fridge though.

    Eh? What?

Corfu was lovely. Didn’t catch a football match in Belfast but did the Titanic tour. It’s a must if you ever visit. It was the nephew’s 40th birthday so had a bit of a hooley.

3 countries in 2 days so knackered now!

I hope that Titanic tour wasn't in preparation for City. <doh>

Well you’ll be ever the optimist and predict a win tomorrow but I’ve got a sinking feeling that we’ll have another rudderless performance and go under again.

Bit like Leo Di Caprio although I'm pretty sure Kate Winslet went down a few times. <whistle>

Strikes me that Andrew R T Davies will need the NHS himself soon. Fit to burst by the look of him. Then again....with truss at the helm it is completely understandable!

Thought you steered people away from discussing politics on here sparkey.

But while we're at it, I don't understand the structure, purpose and benefits of devolved government.
Is Drakeford an MP or just an additional layer of burocracy? Sitting on the outside looking in, to me the senedd seems to cost more than it provides.
Not that its any better living in ingerlund. At least you get free prescriptions. <laugh>

I try very hard to avoid politics on the forum but I just thought Drakeford getting so upset was hilarious..<laugh>

    I try and avoid politics.

To be fair though, watched quite a bit of 'Politics Live', Question Time and PMQs over the last year or two.
    Its been quite amusing.
If you'd seen some of it in Yes (Prime ) Minister, you'd have said it was a bit far fetched.
Boris was a hard act to follow, but Truss has managed it with aplom .

Due to my sad life and penchant for the perverted, I've found myself more and more interested in government and how it ticks. The BBC Parliament channel is my daytime TV. My interest has now moved on to me buying books on the subject! I mean, wtf happened to me?
Anyway, no matter what colour the politics are, there's no doubt that fundamental change is overdue. Don't ask me what, I'm still working on it.

    Me too.

I'm no supporter of RT (stands for Right Tw@t) but surely he is entitled to question Prickford on NHS spending in Wales and the shortcomings involved which is, after all, Labour's responsibility?

Prickford then trying to deflect attention by throwing a wobbly and criticising the UK government. Which is doing a fine job of cocking everything up without Prickford having a stroke about it.
