That did make me laugh and i wondered if maybe Ellington had been sent out on loan!!

It will be nice to have another Hornet around Al, its been quiet of late.

That sounds icky!! Although i used to drink squash neat from time to time.

Sounds like you could use the holiday! I agree with the others, get to the quacks asap. You only have one back and 1 pair of knees so you dont want them to go!!

Afternoon all. Not too bad a day today. Got woken at 10 to do the parcels only to find that the guy who brings them was running 2 hours late and did not get here till 12:25!!! So we did most of them and then mum had to give blood so we left the rest. Since i have been finishing a uni assignment and listening to music.

Being starved of proper football, am reduced to watching Fulham on the box.

Have to say, though, that their third goal was a really well worked free kick

Evening all, hope it stays quiet Al. <ok>

I don't normally like trips to the big cities, but today the visit to Poitiers wasn't that bad. Stopped off at nursery to buy some winter bedding plants and told that we could help ourselves to a free packet of seeds.

Lunch was very good, even the cheap wine was fine.

Found the sewing machine place without any trouble. They wanted to keep the machine and give it a good service. We said that it was 90 kms each way, so any chance of doing it while we waited. They agreed to, put on the bits to replace the worn items, gave it a good going over and a spot of oil, and were impressed that it was a metal machine, not a cheap plastic import from China. Twenty minutes later they gave us the bill which was for parts only, no labour charge. When asked about the lack of a charge for time spent we were told that if we were prepared to advertise their whereabouts it was good for them.

... and Stoke & Celtic. Spurs must be super-confident to have fielded their reserves tonight. Wonder if Ian Holloway had any thoughts on that
