Although only a quarter of the way through the season, both sides find themselves at the wrong end of the table, having struggled for consistency, clean sheets and goal scoring opportunities. Having drawn against Crystal Palace, then thrashing Nottingham Forest 4-0, Brendan Rodgers side were mounting a mini revival, but came crashing back down to Earth at the weekend after losing at Bournemouth, leaving them 19th in the table, four points below Leeds. They will be hoping that Harvey Barnes can extend his scoring streak to six games when playing against the Whites but it won't be easy, as they have a number of key players ruled out. Pereira (Achilles), Ndidi (Thigh), Maddison (suspension), Evans (Calf) and Bertrand (knee) will all be miss Thursday's crunch encounter. Jesse Marsch is expected to make just one change from the team that lost to Arsenal. Rodrigo is expected to drop to the bench in favour of Patrick Bamford. Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood (who is suspended anyway) will both miss Tuesday evening's U21 trip to Bolton in preparation for the outing to the King Power Stadium.
Leicester are lacking confidence and if we can get at them early doors they’ll have the crowd on their backs as well. The game is there for the taking as long as we don’t let the Foxes get their tails up.
True dat. Though you were pointing out the other day how they were dominating palace. They’ve played decent football in spells just missed chances and let soft goals in. Sound familiar?
I actually think their game quite suits us, they try to play but they don’t have the level of the top sides to rip our press apart. Still have enough quality and a threat on the break to hurt us though.
I see rodrygo scored for Real Madrid against Barca. That’s the lad gobshite orta thought he was buying
