I reckon it wouldn't be just EPL clubs we might need to fend off - but the relegated Premier League clubs.

If the likes of Leicester came down they'd have ridiculous spending power and would likely need to sign quite a few players.

They are currently ****ed by FFP and I'd assume they will be selling off players to reduce the wage bill, but I take your point

Whether Leicester or Forest will look at us and see players like Clarke. Roberts & Stewart as the answer to the problems is debatable. I also think we are strong enough financially to resist predators unless it works financially for us

 

definitely - but I think clubs with parachute payments will have the spending power to make it work financially for us.

If I was a relegated premier league club needing a striker, I don’t think there are many safer bets for £10m than Stewart. And if he’s not signed a new contract by then we’d be foolish not to sell.

Something to work on espically free kick goals

 

Yes, as far as I can recall the only freekick we have come close to scoring from was Embleton when he hit it from an acute angle on the right and brought a great save from the keeper. I think it was against Boro

 

1-1 tonight for me. TM will want to prove a point and get the 3 points but any point away from home is a bonus. I would play the same team as Saturday and give Evans a little break. Thanks again RTB
