So basically, we are back to where we started but considerably worse off. If that isn't incompetence at the highest level then I don't know what is. What a ****in mess the Tories have made of our country!
Say what you like about these twats they really are good at showing up the Met for the bunch of fannies they are. They really need to find the middle ground between shooting innocent Brazilians on the tube and dancing in high heels at Pride off their face on poppers.

Just listened to the Truss interview and where she will have regained this forums and the country’s trust and support. Like f%#*. A pathetic attempt to follow her media advisers and offer an apology to try to save her neck (and I suspect her attempt to not be the shortest PM in UK history). Apologising for your actions and side-stepping pointed questions in the same interview is neither honest or contrite. A leader that puts one of her team (Mordaunt) to face the fire of Parliament is cowardice. To sit there while the new Chancellor (replacing her ‘friend’ who she threw under the bus to save her skin) deconstructs her economic policies to follow Sunak’s policy line shows her inability to understand the needs of our country, our people, our businesses and the economic climate we have now and ahead of us.
No, it's a matter for the Scots and the UK should respect their opinion. But Scotland leaving and then joining the EU (possible timescale - 10 years) is fraught with difficulties. The border is already being described as a smuggler's charter. How happy will Brussels be with this, when considering Scotland's application? The answer may be found in part by looking at the NI negotiations
I've had a scan, and these aren't lies, these are mostly the optimistic puff of politicians. Showing an intention to deceive would be next to impossible. If you want to see a classic lie in Parliament, look at the Profumo scandal. He made a statement to Parliament that he was not having an affair with Christine Keeler, when in fact he was and that was proven later. That is the bar that has to be jumped when proving a politician, indeed anyone, actually made a statement intending to deceive and thus lied.
Good post, SW. It may sound trivial, but my reservations about her began when she was announced as the party leader and PM, and she did not shake Sunak's hand despite him sitting next to her. Poor form. I don't rate her, trust her or like her, and I'd never vote for her.
