Ok.
In what way was my post ‘virtue signalling’? I’m not trying to demonstrate my good character at all, I’m a nasty, hypocritical bastard and happy to be one. Perhaps we have different understandings of what virtue signalling is. Or perhaps you weren’t referring to me.
Is that how the Irish Media picture the Labour Party, shameF*ck me, what a sh1tshow...... Looking in from the outside Truss is toast, the only way out is a GE and then the UK will get what it deserves, a Starmer pupet government with the strings pulled by the Unions and his left wing sidekick Rainer......
Good Luck as you'll need it......

Would you want to make it as difficult as possible for Scotland to leave the Union? And equally difficult if they did?
There's a website dedicated to the lies he's told on record (and his fellow lying ministers/team)
https://boris-johnson-lies.com/
Just listened to the Truss interview and where she will have regained this forums and the country’s trust and support.
Like f%#*. A pathetic attempt to follow her media advisers and offer an apology to try to save her neck (and I suspect her attempt to not be the shortest PM in UK history). Apologising for your actions and side-stepping pointed questions in the same interview is neither honest or contrite. A leader that puts one of her team (Mordaunt) to face the fire of Parliament is cowardice. To sit there while the new Chancellor (replacing her ‘friend’ who she threw under the bus to save her skin) deconstructs her economic policies to follow Sunak’s policy line shows her inability to understand the needs of our country, our people, our businesses and the economic climate we have now and ahead of us.
Good post, SW. It may sound trivial, but my reservations about her began when she was announced as the party leader and PM, and she did not shake Sunak's hand despite him sitting next to her. Poor form. I don't rate her, trust her or like her, and I'd never vote for her.
Can l suggest a good read before bedtime.
The book is in runout mode so you will have to be quick!

I've had a scan, and these aren't lies, these are mostly the optimistic puff of politicians. Showing an intention to deceive would be next to impossible.
If you want to see a classic lie in Parliament, look at the Profumo scandal. He made a statement to Parliament that he was not having an affair with Christine Keeler, when in fact he was and that was proven later.
That is the bar that has to be jumped when proving a politician, indeed anyone, actually made a statement intending to deceive and thus lied.
