It's never too late to watch a film like that my friend. The other day I posted about the big sleep. That was a 9 as well.
I just wanted a good argument with ALDO, but obviously he's drunk one too many cans of Tennants and knocked himself out again.
What happened on 1-7-22? Was it Scottish Independence Day? No it fcking wasn't. Muhahahahahahahaaaa! No but seriously, why?
No it's not. Good film, great cast but not a 10 I'm afraid. You can't be dishing out 10s like that my friend. Makes a mockery of all that is holy. Take it back!
Watched Medieval last night - 4.5 And I’m probably being generous with that rating. Had a solid cast and the potential to be a great film considering who it’s based on but the writing/ script was awful.
Exceptional script. Brilliantly directed with superb performances all round from a stellar cast. I suggest you watch it again then come back and apologise.
Just caught up with the season finale of Rings of Power. Meh. Don't know where to begin. Halbrand carried the season and I liked Durin and his wife, they were at least entertaining. Pace of it all is slower than James Milner carrying an injury. Far too many sub plots and literally dozens of apparently 'key' characters (yes I've counted them as I am that pathetic, there are approximately 25 key characters so far), most of whom are too wooden to give a toss about. The big origin reveals such as Mount Doom, the Balrog, the Rings and of course Sauron have been nice - if entirely expected - moments to make up for a hell of a lot of plodding, abysmal script, and the entire ensemble looking concerned about stuff throughout. But not enough to really make a difference. The whole thing could've been accomplished with half the characters doing half the worrying in half the time. Four or five episodes tops. Add to that the budget sunk into this and the fact that Tolkien already did all the work for them, and so far we're looking at a 3/10 gents.
It's certainly not good. LOTR fans trying to big it up but you can't. It's the most expensive flop in history.
I've enjoyed it ... but then I am a bit of a self confessed LOTR nerd ... expecting faster pace and much more action in the coming seasons as Sauron bids for dominion... Really enjoyed House of the Dragon too ...
Ive enjoyed it but then ive not read the old books. The annoying parts were noris lot and the big tramp
