I think it's called 'managing the game' - happens to us all the time, so there's no reason why we shouldn't reciprocate. I'd defy any Norwich fan to say that their team doesn't, for example, employ the tactic of taking the ball to the corner flag in the opposition half near the end of a game to protect a lead or a point. Things like that tend to upset all fans - but nowhere near as much as conceding a late equaliser/loser, as we seem to know more than most.
Watford live on Sky this season: six games, 16 points. Watford not live on Sky this season: eight games, no wins, four points.
That was absolutely everything that Blackpool was not: commited; determined; incisive; impressive work rate; no shortage of skill. For the Norwich goal I just wish someone had taken one for the team - it was absolutely the right time to do so. Unimpressed with the refereeing in that Asprilla was kicked off the park. Persistent infringement isn't limited to fouls by a player but is also for fouls on a player and I thought he lost sight of that. Is it me or has JP10 beefed up quite considerably - he's been in the gym with KD and CH by the looks?! So... Millwall up next. Play like that and we'll be fine.
"Unimpressed with the refereeing in that Asprilla was kicked off the park. Persistent infringement isn't limited to fouls by a player but is also for fouls on a player and I thought he lost sight of that." Quite right. They did appear to target him and his reactions were genuine. I may be doing him a disservice, but the reactions of IS (and, later, JP) to what looked like innocuous tackles were a bit farcical at times - and may have swayed the ref a tad. Shouldn't be an excuse and shouldn't happen, but you never know...
When Asprilla left the pitch he looked to be quite badly injured. I hope it is not as serious as it looked as his contribution made a lot of difference to our midfield.
That contained this post, too: “The goal was offside sadly, also I believe both penalty shouts were weak but in the end I don't think it made a difference to the game in the end. Also with the time wasting, appart from the first 20 minutes of the second half we didn't look like doing anything even if we were still there now. We were poor and that's the facts. We are a workman like team that will be too good for most in this division but we really lack the flair to open up a half decent team who protect a lead.”
I thought Bilic was reasonable in his explanation of the previous two defeats. He said he’d only been in for three weeks, there were three games in six days, and he hadn’t had much chance to apply his stamp, or words to that effect. But he said the right things about playing the ball forward. And when pressed about Sema and Sarr tracking back, he said, sure, but I want them to be in the heads of the opposing fullbacks, I want the fullbacks to be worried about our guys, have they come too far forward so our guys will get in behind. I thought that was great, everything I wanted to hear. And it wasn’t just spiel, you could see what he was saying in the way we played.
He did look uncomfortable on the bench, though. When I say ‘bench’, I think we can agree those comfy seats are a far cry from ‘the bench’? But he did look hurt.
You make them sound like an architectural discovery from pre-history. To be fair, they could well have been.
“You don’t get cramp at this club!!!” shouted from a yellow and red leather racing car seat. It’s not the same, is it? https://goldandblack.teemill.com/product/you-dont-get-cramp-2/
