Just wondered what you think the top 6 will be come next Summer now we've had time to see how certain teams will get on, for instance my rating for Leicester and Forest have gone downhill and they have crashed to mid table come next Summer in my mind (and I thought Leicester would finish 2nd!) I'm going for 1) Southampton 2) West Ham 3) Middlesbrough 4) Cardiff 5) Birmingham 6) Derby --------------------- 7) Hull 8) Leeds 9) Leicester 10) Reading 11) Blackpool 12) Brighton --------------------- 21) Pompey 22) Coventry 23) Doncaster 24) Bristol City Went a bit over the top, we'll see! Really can't see that bottom 3 changing, unfortunately we all know those jammy pr*cks down the road will cling on by the string of their teeth. It's a real tough one to call though.
i stll think saints will falter at some point unfortunately, especially when we get some long term-ish injuries to key players like lambert, lallana, davis and cork 5th or 6th im prediciting right now
Very optimistic putting saints at top spot on my part, but I still think Top 4 is a massive possibility, at least! What do you reckon of the top 6 then?
1) Southampton 2) Birmingham 3) West Ham 4) Derby 5) Middlesbrough 6) Cardiff Off the wall, but Birmingham look good and have games in hand. Middlesborough, unless we caught them on a bad day, aren't that good. West Ham could cling on, but I think they'll get too many draws. Crystal Palace are doing well, but probably punching above their weight so I haven't included them. Derby could yet be a dark horse.
But I just think who can overtake them? Reading, Leicester, Leeds, Blackpool? These teams just are not good enough this year, I'd be surprised of any of the 4 made the Top 6, and if they did then certainly not the Top 4.
Oh well I've got my facts wrong about Derby then just how I interpeted their sh*t chant, but I can't believe I didn't make that link. You're right, but I can't see Hull pushing above Derby.
1. Southampton 2. West Ham United 3. Birmingham City 4. Middlesbrough 5. Leicester City 6. Leeds United ------------------------- 7. Ipswich Town 8. Cardiff City
I'm sorry but it's far too early to posting these sorts of threads, especially as most are putting top. I will only think about who will finish in the top 6 in January at the earliest.
That was the point, just to see how the start of the season has changed peoples views on how things might happen. I made a list of the full Championship table and it's changed a hell of a lot in my mind already (not just from current form but certain clubs having a general mare) and im sure it will in January, February, March and April
Lose a point for predicting Hull will finish 5th, but have one back for spelling Middlesbrough correctly (unlike a certain few)
Lambert is very un-injury-prone. I can't remewmber him being injured apart from the start of last season after Pardew worked everyone far too hard in pre-season and almost everyone was injured or unfit. He's not the type of player who attracts leg-breaking tackles either. I can't see him getting injured this season. Lallana had injuries last season and we still got promoted. With Adkins in the building, I reckon he'll have a better season injury-wise than last. The other teams will get injuries too, so we can't complain. Some injuries are bad luck, but others are due to poor management and conditioning. Nigel Adkins and Nick Harvey (fitness coach) are 2 of the best around when it comes to keeping players in shape.
