Second goal killed us, not laid a glove on them that second half, if we are to turn this season around action is required sooner rather then later, never mind freebies to Turkey, let's get a coaching team in who can sort this shower of shyte out, get em playing as a team not a group of Individuals, and have some sort of plan going forward
Plenty joined a team staring down the barrel of relegation from League Two some twenty years ago - Whittle, Brabin , etc. I don't imagine too many will want to join from Turkey which is a consolation I suppose.
Glad Greaves got hooked. Hopefully a bit of a reality check for him. Nowhere near the finished article.
1st half - best football we’ve played this season. 2nd half - worst football we’ve played this season.
I thought we played quite well first half but as normal Oscar isolated and v little end product. Sinik completely ineffective and Pelkas too lightweight. It seems like anything that can go wrong will at the moment with the penalty and the second goal. But after that, it was the most dispiriting second half I can remember for a long time - well since last Sunday. The only player who emerged with merit today was Docherty.
A team devoid of all confidence there, better performance today but that goal at the start of the 2nd half knocked the wind out of the team and fans. We need to get better at cheating, teams do it week in and week out against us and these inbred single digit IQ refs buy it week in and week out. 2nd half was so ****ing flat.
I thought in the first half we played pretty well and the pen was unlucky. Second half was the worst I’ve seen this season. Utter dross. I fear the worst. Worse than League 1. Admin, taking ball home etc etc. It’s not going to end well. I hated the Allams but at least they didn’t interfere too much on the football front.
And Seri for his first half performance. Don’t know where he went in the second half. Did we not give him the ball or did he not ask for it? Tufan was dire. As was Estupinan. Scary to think how much money they’ll be on too. We need players who actually try and penetrate and not be afraid to lose it (like Honeyman ) There’s too much fancy passing that seems to be for possession’s sake. It looked like a friendly that second half. Anyway, that is all. I’ve had my rant.
A few things struck me today.... how mobile they looked... and I made a note of the time... 79 minutes Doc (who trued bloody hard today and kept going) chased a ball down the right wing.. one of theirs came across and blocked him ball went into touch. Another of theirs ran over and high five manner chested him and screamed well done or similar at him. When they blocked they applauded each other... we dont seem to have that spirit im afraid to say... and I do appreciate things aren't going well.. but they won't finish top 6 and they won't go down and YET, they're in it together...
Cant agree with all of that DD. For me Estupian is blameless... Pelkas was shocking for me as was Sinik
Sinik was poor, I forgot about him. I thought Pelkas did a few nice things but did go missing. It was Estupinan’s touch and reaction times that looked way off today.
All the new players are pretty crap except Oscar, Sayyadmanesh and Tetteh. And once we’re in League 1, we won’t have Honeyman or Lewis Potter to fashion an escape route.
I’d get the players on the plane to Turkey. They look like they need a break, The sooner the right Manager is on board, the better.
