Exactly. We have a ref who gives a penalty for holding on their first corner. Another ref will let it happen all game. In fact, since then the ref has stopped play before several corners to warn players. So stupid from Greaves but we really are out of luck at the moment. Would the ref have given that against Maguire in the first 10 mins at Old Trafford in front of 60,000. Not convinced.

We're getting better under Daws and I can't believe how good Figs is looking. He's winning everything in the air and not over complicating it with the ball at his feet. I've no idea what Shota was trying with him. Same with Seri brought him back in after a few games out and he looks refreshed. If Elder is fit for midweek, I'd definitely give Greaves a breather. The penalty decision is farcical for me but it's what happens when luck ain't going your way
Coyle is great for crossing and his energy but Christie seems better suited to possession play, give and goes etc. Defensively I think Christie is superior.
The main difference is we are fighting for the ball and have energy. We are often passing to players in congested areas so it's a good job we are fighting. Some chances, but ultimately the shooting not good enough.
To be fair this exactly the the sort of game Figs should be stepping up, against a player like Deeney. It's what we pay him to do.
