Ironically, it sounds like VAR was essential in the Leeds v Arsenal game.

 

What they did there by taking the players off is pretty worrying tbh. 40k fans have travelled from all over the Country to the stadium to watch that, spent a fortune, hotels, tickets, petrol, buses, trains and God knows what and then they took them off for half an hour to sort VAR out.

What if it didn't come back on or get fixed? Do they all just go home? Is that what the Premier League has become? VAR is offline so we can't play they match?

I ****ing hate it even more after today.

 

It's a sad indictment of Premier League football these days. A great club like Aston Villa with nothing to play for but survival. A squad filled with overpaid mercenaries bought in the hope that someone can perform miracles and allow them to challenge with the big clubs for a year. Produce your own talents and if you're lucky enough, you get to see them in your shirt for a few years before they get taken by a bigger fish (Grealish). When you're not so lucky, they get taken by a big club before their career has even really begun (Chukwuemeka).

 

I totally agree to be fair. Football is being played all over the world without electricity and the Premier League didn't know what to do without it. I just found it funny, that they actually needed it to get so many decisions right after all of that.

 

Spot on, i wish the odd player would be brave and say no to the cash and think a bit longer term but i do realise its a short career.

We will have Chukwuemeka here in a year or two though
