Kevin Cullis and Alan Cork, Jager. Cullis had only ever managed non-league before, and Christian Edwards (and someone else, I forget) forced him out of the changing room at half time, he was so clueless. That was his last game, and he wasn't there long. Edit: Wiki tells me he was there 6 days! A year later Alan Cork was manager for 23 days. I love the Swans!
Scott, thanks for the reminder of the 8-0 went to the game, must say when Chico went on the pitch and the stewards kept trying to tackle him, just brilliant. Also remember us hitting the post, brain not working but one of our Scottish contingent at the time, Chambers mate, fell on the floor thinking we'd scored. Happy days!!!
Daiswan: " Oh I er... meant...I think...er.....in terms of winning the Premier League" What a wally. Reminds me of the "What have the Romans ever done for us" sketch from Life of Brian. Swainseye: "Dai (superswan99) sometimes lives in an alternate reality, but he does have the Swans at heart, and he does say tidy things now & again. No offence intended."
Oh dear serves me right for mentioning knobs listen us being a welsh club has sod all to do with anything, the same as you being a foreign owned club with very few English players there, and have sold your souls to someone who just sees your club as an investment vehicle, at least our club are owned by the fans of our club!
Got nothing against Liverpool at all and our clubs have had a good relationship in the past, but that last post fowler's knob makes me sick.
Chill out for god sake, on the defensive very quickly. Not used to a bit of banter then?!! You're the best team in Wales I'll give you that.
1. the liverpool team line up above hasn't got lucas... thats not going to happen? 2. this game depends on suarez actually putting the ball in the net not firing it wide or against the post all the time. 3. skertl and agger will be interesting. will they push the line up and bascially prove carragher is not the be all and end all and the system not the man is important. We need that higher line
Hopefully if Carra is fit,Kenny will have the balls not to start him ,after Agger and Skrts clean sheet last week There has to be some meritocracy with selection, not just a case of the manager pickin heis favourites
jager, you obviously know very little about Liverpool Football Club. The one thing that the club has not done is to sell our soul and that was proved by the actions of The Spirit of Shankley during the H&G fiasco. We are very pleased with our new owners. Yes our club is a major investment for them. Because it is an investment they have brought with them sound managerial and financial practices to ensure that the club meets their investment targets. They don't spend money that they haven't got but are not shy in making funds available when required. Whilst other team's supporters bleat about how much we have spent, they should look at how much LFC have saved on their wage bill - now that smells of sound management practice to me. In our history we have had a number of owners, some good and some bad and 2 nearly disasterous. Owners will come and owners will go; they are after all merely custodians of something far bigger. You may own your club but how far will that get you if you want to stay in the Premiership and then improve your position.
