Well to be fair he was the one that made their goal. Turned ONien inside out before running at our back line and laying it wide. It was just the sort of thing he did so effectively for us at times.

He showed a couple of good touches although largely anonymous. He's wasted in a team the just launch it all the time

Thought he looked sharp in the 1st half and it was him rinsing O'Nien that led to their goal, but was anonymous in the 2nd half

We looked miles better 2nd half with a 4. O'Nien was excellent at RB. I'd stick with that

It is awful the way they play. He must hate it as he needs the ball into his feet so he can turn and run at players. Still feels a real shame he didnt sign for us.

Can't wait for next Saturday already, so many options available to us and players knowing they have to perform or they will be out of the team.

Personally think we will stick with the back 4 as it is allowing us that extra midfield / forward player

It is a great position to be in isnt it. Even a hell of a battle for a bench spot. Training must be really intense.

I have a seat at Blackburn on Tuesday, although in a home corporate, if I want it. My lad might have a spot fighting on a local boxing card though, will know tonight.

Literally turned to my dad after 25 minutes and said “is broadhead on the bench for them” as I hadn’t seen the teams. My dad said “no idea” and the lad behind said “he’s over there”!! Completely anonymous. Still have him here like!! Maybe he’s. Thinking “WTF have I done?”

Agree about Wyke. The lad deserves every second of the applause he got. There were idiots around me booing him in the north stand. nothing disrespectful about his celebration and boy should he celebrate scoring a goal. Good luck to the lad

    The Roberts show.
Brilliant team performance and Roberts is playing his way into being the first name on the team sheet based on that highlights reel.

We looked excellent overall, quick balls to feet and pushing forward with pace. Wigan flattered by 2-1 Roberts could have had 2 himself in first half and been classed as unlucky.

Well… Wigan are a much bigger side than Sunderland as they have “Won more trophies” according to this weapon

in reality, he’s right, but he is including the Lancashire something and the Floodlight Keane along with numerous other non league trophies which Sunderland have never competed for!!!

To be honest, I hate the ‘who’s the bigger club’ discourse, means absolutely nothing. Yeah having a load of fans is great but I’d much rather be successful on the pitch

Yeah but using the Lancashire hotpot league and Cheshire cheese league as a stick to beat Sunderland with (along with that tweeter constantly going on about the mags to prove he’s around 11 or 12.

I watched him closely against Blackburn and he scored the vital goal, just as the coach was preparing to take him off, it only delayed his substitution.
It was a poor decision joining Wigan, If he didn't know it before this game, he should by now. The team that ended the game will do me on Tuesday OaU.
