Quite enjoying this one. Big fan of Baumgardner's "shorts".

97-93 Mayer for me. Decent fight, a lot of the rounds were close. It's about time these rounds were 3 minutes long mind.

She fought well but didn't do nearly enough to win it.

I hope Marshall wins it clearly because I don't think Shields' is getting any kind of decision regardless.

 

Baumgardner definitely finished well but that was all I saw of it so dunno who deserved it, sounded like it was Mayer. I also enjoyed the shorts.

 

Jill Scott walking out with Marshall I wouldn't be surprised if she could handle herself in the ring too. I hope Savannah walks right through her!

Ominous start from Shields

 

Haven't seen either of these before but Shields looks a much better boxer.

 

Cracking 2 rounds. Flown by.

 

Got to commend Marshall's heart, but Shields looks a level above. She looks like a much bigger puncher than her record suggests as well.

 

Aye I'm not sure about Marshall's ability but she's got a strong chin and heart.

 

Shields getting her shots off before Marshall can swing big. Class from the yank so far.

 

She's got a hell of a lot of ability too, just coming up against a great.

Marshall has been better in the last 3, but not enough to turn this around yet.

 

Strong last round from Marshall and she could win it, Shields crumbling.

 

Great fight that lived up to the hype.

 

I had it 96-94 Shields.

Weird score as I thought Shields was much better but I gave Marshall 4 of the last 5 mainly on aggression.

Every round was brutal though, great stuff.

 

She was even better than I realised to be honest. Absolutely brilliant and fully deserved win.

Did she live up to the hype?

 

Hmm, Shields the better boxer.. Marshall couldn't land one of her haymakers.
