13mins into the Spuds game and Pickford warned for time wasting. Our ref today should take note, the absolute ball kissing bellend.

It looked very close but offside in the replays I've seen. Still shots are always inconclusive to me as it's never clear if that's the exact moment the ball was played.

Roker Report - Andy's Player Ratings:
    Anthony Patterson: 7/10
Got a couple of vital touches on dangerous balls in the second half, no chance with the goal and not overly tested.
    Luke O’Nien: 7/10
Comfortable first half in a back three and then even more comfortable at right back in the second. Took the quick free quick that led to the winner.
    Danny Batth: 7/10
Beat Wyke in the air every time and a rock at the back as Wigan tried to put the pressure on late.
    Aji Alese: 7/10
A couple of bursts forward but showed his quality at the back, shutting down most threats on the left.
    Lynden Gooch: 6/10
Did OK in the first half despite taking a big knock on the edge of the Wigan box which saw him substituted at half-time.
    Dennis Cirkin: 8/10
Maybe needed to close Wyke down quicker for the Wigan goal but more than made up with it the rest of the game.
    Dan Neil: 7/10
Played more defensively than you would want from Neil but did it well and allowed Embleton to get forward.
    Elliot Embleton: 7/10
Scored the important equaliser, while getting involved in the build up himself and a good midfield display. Possibly lucky to only get a yellow for a tackle on Wyke.
    Patrick Roberts: 8/10
Really good today, caused problems on the right all afternoon and constantly got past his man. Played one great through ball that Clarke could have scored from but couldn’t quite get around the goalkeeper.
    Alex Pritchard: 7/10
A great cross for the winner and although not a threat himself he was involved in all of our best play in the second half.
    Jack Clarke: 7/10
Probably should have got himself a goal, either when he had the chance to go around the goalkeeper or when he decided to head across goal rather than at goal but played well.
    Substitutes
    Adam Diallo: 7/10

Thought he was really good outside the opposition box, won the ball multiple times and linked up well with Pritchard and Roberts. Just can’t quite get anything going in the box yet.
    Bailey Wright: N/A
Came on very late as we saw out the game.
Man of the Match: Dennis Cirkin
Did so well in his first game back, I think he stood off Wyke a bit too much for Wigan’s goal but other than that did really well defensively, including an important block late on, but then got an assist from an overlapping run and then scored the winner with a brave dive to make it 2-1. Didn’t really miss him while he was out due to Alese’s displays but he showed how important he is today.

Said it before, the club need to make official, written representation to the PGMOL about the ****e that is served up from the officials at the SoL. They cant handle the atmosphere and are simply useless.

I wouldn't say Gooch was the worst player on the pitch tbh.

Disgrace Patterson was booked as Wigan's goalie was always time wasting longer than patterson, and their throw in's he should be done the ref, this is happening every home game now. Great come back though.

Couldnt agree more. He is an outstanding centre forward. There isnt any in this league I would swap him for.

onien took the free kick quick (from nowhere near the right place but as it was further back from where the kick was given the ref seemed fine/did not notice/was sick of telling players to get on the right blade of grass), quick ball to pritchard who fired one of his excellent crosses in,it was a 'blink and you miss it' moment.

wigan defenders arm went up, so he flagged...thought it looked tight at the time and i think he panicked when they appealed...teams who play as wigan did today should be punished with more yellows for time wasting, they cannot match us with football so go out of their way to stop/slow down/ delay everything they can...ffs a keeper going down with cramp in the 1st half is mental, fans pay a decent wedge to go to see games and deserve to actually see a game of football.

Big win coming back from a goal down to the team with the best away record in the Championship.
The no strikers debate will roll on until we get one or both fit, yes we miss the out ball to the big lad upfront, but so far we haven't been soundly beaten all season.
Apart from their goal defensively we coped really well, up against some real pro strikers, Patto wasn't over stretched.
Onto another big game on Tuesday, aren't they all in this league, HTL.

It's a tight league up to now.
I'm made up we are doing so well.
Yes we've had a few lesser results the three games leading up to this but we have still held our own considering our injuries.

I've just realised i was absent on here mostly for the last 3 games.
I turn up and we win :1980_boogie_down:<laugh>

I'll have to make more of an effort from now on :D
