Isn’t it mental to think right now we’d be top if we had managed to find a goal against Preston and Blackpool, and didn’t let QPRs keeper score an equaliser.

    the championship is certainly open

Are we allowed to mention that we didn't have any strikers on the pitch, still won and looked bloody dangerous?

Cirkin immense, Roberts excellent and Batth was also superb. Wigan were pretty **** and we should have put them to bed earlier. Ref was a blurt.

It's been a while since we had a team where going behind doesn't necessarily mean a certain defeat.

That feels a big 3 points to me. At half time I was worried we wouldnt score 2 to win and our form would have looked a little worrying. I thought we deserved it today though and they never stop trying to play good football. You have to say Cirkin as just a brilliant footballer. He is the best at the club for me, the lad has everything anf would look at home in a top premier leagie side. He reads the game, can tackle, can pass, can dominate players. Love him.

Pleased for Embo to get a goal. I think he can push Pritchard hard this season personally. Fair play to Pritchard for the ball in for Cirkin though, hope he keeps that up as it has been a while IMO. Credit to Amad as well, showed a bit more today I thought. At times I wasnt sure where he was meant to be playing but he got wigan out of shape.

Overall a good performance and day for us, particularly without out skipper.

Man City often play without strikers at their level ...

    ... we were playing Wigan.

The referee caused Patterson more problems than Wigan tbh ...

... I bet the ex-Sunderland players are quiet on the bus home.

It's the last time this season they'll play in front of 37,000 ... perhaps ever.

We did mate, but I think we know we need them back. Put Stewart in this team and we are very different. Great to win without them, but we definitely want him back asap and another striker in Jan to make sure we dont end up without one again.

Oh with Stewart we will be a very different animal and bloody dangerous. Saying that Clarke did very well up front and looked strong

For me it's highlighted what a player Stewart is more than anything, it's not that we've been desperate for a striker it's that we've desperately missed Stewart. The man's a beast with great all round play. Not easy to replace.

No squad would be happy with losing two specialist strikers tbh ...

... just shows how determined we are that we didn't give up against a typical time-wasting cheap L1 side.
