A BIGGGG aspect of the chelscum win was us - the crowd - a mate brought a chelsea fan with him - he was really monosyllabic at half time and looked scared at the end - it was full on - the fans are really on top of you - as warnick keeps saying - it's almost like the year that we wons lots with the plastic pitch - home can give us a huge advantage - look at stoke - everyone hates playing there - why?
Queens Park Rangers v Manchester City No doubt City will be buoyed by their rather comprehensive win against a weakened Villarreal side in midweek as they go into the game at Loftus Road on Saturday and take on Neil Warnock's Queens Park Rangers.................................................................................................. http://mike-walsh-davidsilvasleftfo...-park-rangers-v-manchester-city.html?spref=tw
I think in the last transfer window we paid the going rate for the players we bought and our two new defenders at £13 million for the pair were a steal. What about Liverpool paying £20 million over the odds for Carroll its not just us that have paid more for players than they are valued at. If you want to read something about money buying/ruining football read this thread, its been going on for years - http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/98021-Hi-City-Fans The FFPR will address this in 2015 when (if it ever works) they will force clubs to abide by the rules, RM has already said by then it will not be a problem, time will tell. This was said about Bellers and look at him now. I assume the FFPR will mean this never happens. I have been a Man City supporter for many years and for me what ruined football for many years was the dominance of the top 4 in the PL, they shared the PL & CL prize money while the rest of us struggled and tried to avoid relegation season after season, i dont want to sound like a smug bastard but now its our turn.
I would settle for a win the higher the better. However if you offered me 1-0 to City with out playing the game I would take it.
You would prefer not to play the game and just get the points? Do you not like football? Sorry, just don't get this at all. When games become a nuisance to you, time to think about why you spend money and time following a club. May have misread the intent of your post ........
Funny, that no matter how hard i try i don't hate City like i do Utd and Chelsea. Utd dominated the transfer market for 15 years. Its not that they always paid huge sums of money for players its just that they could outbid every other club when they wanted a player. Chelsea did that too for about 3-4 years. Hell, even Blackburn bought the first Prem League. I like City. Their fans are magnificent and have followed them in recent years through thick and thin. They have deffo replaced the Gunners as the custodians of the beautiful game. IMO the only way we can cause an upset is to get in their faces and really have a go but they have some really big boys in their team and can mix it if needed. Think we will score and rise to the occasion and am predicting a narrow defeat.
It all depends on the first 20 minutes or so, if we get at them like we did against Chelsea and get an early goal the crowd will really be rocking and that will give us such a lift. An early goal against and we could be on the wrong end of a cricket score. I still expect a four or five goal thrashing but stranger things have happened. What price Barton and SWP scoring against their old club?
THE FRIDAY PREVIEW: MAN CITY Posted on: Fri 04 Nov 2011 QPR welcome Barclays Premier League leaders Manchester City to Loftus Road on Saturday tea-time, in what promises to be the sternest test of the R's campaign so far........................................................ http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/Preview/0,,10373~2504139,00.html
QPR star has point to prove in Manchester City clash SHAUN Wright-Phillips has a point to prove against Manchester City tomorrow, according to one of his team-mates. The QPR winger faces his former club for the first time since quitting Eastlands for Loftus Road on transfer deadline day. Wright-Phillips made 275 appearances across two stints for the Blues, but fell down the pecking order under Roberto Mancini, clearing the decks for a return to west London. And QPR striker Jay Bothroyd insists the England international will be out to show his old boss what he's missing. “If your club lets you go you want to go out there and prove them wrong," he said. "Shaun's been playing well and has shown good form. “It's a game he's been looking forward to and he'll be out to get one over his old team for sure. “He still respects them because he spent a big part of his career there. The Man City fans love him so I'm sure he'll get a good reception." Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest QPR news. Follow me on Twitter. iReader

Roberto Mancini has hinted he may make changes to the side that beat Villarreal 3-0 for Saturday’s clash with QPR. Micah Richards, Gareth Barry, Edin Dzeko and Joleon Lescott could all return against Neil Warnock’s men, while David Silva’s fitness will be assessed after he came off with a knock in the midweek Champions League victory. Skipper Vincent Kompany will serve his one-match ban against Rangers and Stefan Savic is expected to keep his place in the starting XI, probably alongside Lescott. “We want to continue to play well if it's possible, but we know that every game is hard," said Mancini. ...Roberto Mancini “They also have some very good, experienced players and they beat Chelsea in their last home game, so they deserve respect and have made a very good start this season. “Loftus Road is a tight, compact ground and it will be hard if we are not at our very best. We will need to change some players, too, because we are playing two games in three days, but at least there is a break after Saturday.” The Blues’ boss, who is nursing a bruised head after taking a bang on the Villarreal dug-out, was pleased with the clinical display on Wednesday and hopes his side will continue their superb Premier League form in London this weekend. “I enjoyed our performance,” he said. “I understand that Villarreal were missing four or five important players, but it's never easy. We had the majority of the possession, scored three goals and played well. It's important for our confidence in that competition. “We've improved a lot from the start of the Champions League campaign. We are growing and that's why it's important for us to get to the second stage, though Napoli will be very difficult and we must improve again. “For now, though, our only focus is on QPR and playing well enough to return home with three points.” http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2011/November/QPR-v-City-Mancini-preview
Man City can be antidote to QPR fans’ Chelsea woes – opposition focus Fri 04th Nov 2011 11:01 by Clive Whittingham For years now QPR fans who loathe Chelsea and balk at the idea of supporting Man Utd instead have prayed for a third way. Now that alternative is here, but does Man City’s grotesque financial outlay sour the pill somewhat? http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=14670
Last time we played City, as I recall, was in FA Cup (??) and they had Trevor Sinclair on pitch who scored in a 4 or 5:1 win to City. However, this QPR team is leagues better than that QPR team. Of course, this Manchester City team is...Oh, never mind. Who are we playing next?!
I think that everyone needs to forget about the scoreline. If Man City puts out their first XI then this will undoubtedly be the best footballing team I have ever seen come and play at Loftus road, I for one can't wait. Will still cheer as loud as I can and leave multiple stains in my pants whenever they attack, but will enjoy what should be a great football match. Come on you R'SSS!!!
" Surely there must be an alternative? Well yes, but sadly itâs that red lot in Manchester - Ferguson and his bloody stopwatch, red Neville and his facial hair, Christiano Ronaldo and his winking and his diving and his seemingly always erect and active cock. Yeh, that lot that QPR beat fair and square in 1996 just at the point when we really, really, really needed to beat somebody to preserve our Premiership status only for retiring referee and alleged Manchester United fan Robbie Hart to continue playing until the second reading of the classified football results only to blow the final whistle the very second Eric Cantona headed the inevitable equaliser. QPR were relegated and have only just made it back this season, 15 years later â how any QPR fan can ever wish anything other than fire and pestilence on Manchester U-****ing-nited is beyond me."
QPR hit by injury crisis ahead of Manchester City clash QPR v Manchester City QPR boss Neil Warnock reckons he may have to put an academy graduate on the bench to make up the numbers against millionaires Manchester City tomorrow. The manager joked it was easier to say who was available rather than list the doubtfuls as he cast envious eyes towards the City of Manchester Stadium. “It would be nice to have two teams like them,” he said. “But we have to make the best of what we’ve got and try and give them a game.” Adel Taraabt (midfield) has been struggling with a stomach bug, Shaun Derry (midfield) groin, defender Armand Traore (thigh) are also worries, while Matt Connolly was on the cusp of an ankle operation before the defender got better news this week. Keiron Dyer, DJ Campbell, Akos Buzsaky and Fitz Hall (hamstring) are all out.
