but Superswan99 (dainumpty) is another one.... Fans are like family. Can't choose them unfortunately. In case you needed reminding, we lost heavily to Man City, Chelsea and (god help us Norwich!) on the road, whilst playing well at times. REALITY CHECK!!!! what are you on you idiot....our first ever game in the premiership against the best side in the premiership and we hold them for an hour until we ran out of steam that was to be expected. no other team at their place have lasted an hour, we gave chelsea a very good game and we should have got something at arsenal. So kangaroo where or what planet are you on if you cant recognise how unlucky we have been with the opening fixtures and how well we have played. dragon is spot on about you and he is not the only one who thinks you are a prize wally in the highest order.....Now tell me what liverpool have achieved in the last 20 or so years, they are not in the same class as man city, man utd , Chelsea and arsenal and we have played 3 out of them 4 all away from home and gave a good account of ourselves in every one of those games, beaten or not....
1 Champions League 3 FA Cups 3 League Cups 1 Uefa Cup 2 Uefa Super Cups a few Charity Shields. 3 trophies in one season,2 CL finals in 3 years. Man City 1 FA Cup 1 Charity Shield
Let's see if I can make one of those lists for the Swans... 2 FL Trophies 2 Relegations 4 Promotions 1 Playoff trophy 1 bout of going into administration 17 managers ...wait, I know how this one goes! "And a partridge in a pear tree!"
Also rans in the premiership i mean, liverpool have done nothing and have never ever won the premiership.....true or not.....
Cracking thread again Scott. I`ve got us to lose 3-1 in our prediction thing, but I am a bit of a pessimist at times. On paper, we should lose by at least two, fortunately it`s not played on paper. I hope again that we can give a good account of ourselves, if we do, then anything can happen. A draw would be really good, a win would be superb & more than most Swans fans expected.. Page_Moss, Dai (superswan99) sometimes lives in an alternate reality, but he does have the Swans at heart, and he does say tidy things now & again. No offence intended. please log in to view this image
Hey! My list was only twenty years! If we're going back that far, I could've got another bout of administration in!
Liverpool are a top top side with king Kenny in charge to think they are also rans is a bit disrespectful IMO , we will be very very lucky to get anything out of this game, or the return leg for that matter! Think some swans fans should face reality here, its likely we won't get any points, and we will get well beaten, but should we change out style of play or our philosophy ? Hell no! And Kenny has said so himself! We should go in this game like we did with man city , the gunners and chelsea, we should show no respect at all and get into their faces, and I don't mean that in any way other than we should play our game, and sod who we are playing as its not really relevant, we go into each game for a win, and will come away with a bloody nose at times, but in others we will gain a point or three Hope it's a good game, the last time I went to Anfield it was almost a cricket score so anything less than 8-0 is a result lol
Didn't understand the start of the sentance there. Liverpool have done nothing? Well, even you have done something in this league, you're playing in it for a start. You are right though, we haven't won the Prem, but by that logic, a lot of teams haven't won the carling/worthington/coca-cola cup. Hell even England haven't won the modern world cup trophy. I could go on.....
jager its 11 players verses 11 players with both teams that have never won the premiership how much more even than that can you get....
Well i think if Swansea can get a point on Saturday then that will be a good result although i,m keeping my fingers crossed for another two but would settle for the one point.
Dai that is very true, but we have never been in the premier league before so it would have been a little difficult to win it, so once we have stayed up this season, we can concentrate in winning it next
There was an exceptionally crazy period around 1996, but it settled down for a while. The last few managers have been nicked though! Bobby, Sousa, still... worked out alright in the end! Long live Huw Jenkins!
Some of those only lasted a couple of weeks, I think one was a couple of days , saw one those things up the shortest staying managers, out of the ten there the swans were in it twice lol
I can only see a Liverpool victory and I will be greatly dissapointed if we don't win. I would love to see the same back four that played away at West Brom, Downing should be dropped for Bellamy in my opinion and Henderson deserves to keep his place. Kenny must surely start with Carroll and Suarez upfront too. So far this season we have hit the woodwork more than any other team, we have created more chances than any other team and had the fewest chances created against us. I don't think we will run away with it, as Swansea are a very good team, but 2 or 3-0 is my prediction.
