Obviously anyone commentating on this particular thread has some interest in politics. Wow what a ride we have have had this year. Bonko with his lies and boozing. Then Truss v Sunak hustings, she yelling tax cuts him yelling idiot. Following a kamikaze mini-budget, Truss throwing her chancellor under the bus to save herself... going to be an interesting statement at 2.00pm? We live in interesting times..
It's the job of the "Labour lads' in government to criticise the pm. That's what an opposition does. If you're going to talk about hindsight, then we should never have elected him in the first place which the lads on here told you about at the time, but it didn't stop you from rejoicing when he was pm. The only people responsible are the ones who make the decisions. Not the opposition and not people on the internet.
Should they have stood by and said nothing ... ... surely that's the sign of a weak opposition that has been blamed, on here, for the poor government. The Tories have had carte blanche for twelve years and simply haven't been very good.
It's like 'blame bingo' at times. Blame the BBC, the markets, the opposition, the public, etc etc etc ... ... as long as you don't blame the people responsible for running the country.
If you're going to talk about hindsight, then we should never have elected him in the first place which the lads on here told you about at the time, but it didn't stop you from rejoicing when he was pm. I think you have me mixed up with someone else.
I didn't say it has no effect. The opposition did exactly what they're supposed to do. The Tories has the choice whether to keep him or not ... ... they chose to kick him out.
They probably aren’t as bad as the current government, but that’s not a particularly high bar to beat.
It may have had a small effect but wasn't responsible for the PM's colleagues choosing to sack him against their will ... ... just because 'the Labour lads' told them to. "Sorry sir, a bigger boy made me do it!"
That’s what I’m saying it had a effect. Them stamping their feet every day on the news. So they got what they wanted, didn’t they?
They got what they wanted and are getting it again now .. ... but they weren't responsible then and aren't now.
If I could afford to retire I'd stand outside Downing Street and shout random questions at everyone going in and out alongside the journalists. 'SHOULD LIZ TRUSS RESIGN?' 'DID YOU RESIGN OR WERE YOU FIRED' 'WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE STEREOPHONICS ALBUM'
