Bamford will be fine just, maybe needed last week to get back into it...hopefully anyway.

Also didn't Joffy miss an even easier one-on-one against Everton that would have won us the match ?

Strikers miss chances and always have done.

I can excuse Joffy missing, but Bamford misses more IMO, maybe it's time to bring Willy on.<ok>

As it happens it's entirely possible that overdoing the claret that may have slowed my senses a little today.

However I shall endeavour to soldier on until this evening, when a large ' hair of the dog ' will do the trick I'm sure <cheers>

Oh and in the meantime :emoticon-0172-mooni:emoticon-0172-mooni:emoticon-0172-mooni

despite not playing every game paddy is 2nd in the ‘big misses’ chart

to be fair (also despite missing games through injury) rod is only 1 miss behind him. Good to see us featuring high up in some league tables <laugh>

joffy now has nearly 30 appearances in the prem for Leeds (obviously mainly cameos) but the equivalent of over 10 full games. 2 Goals 2 assists. His xg is 4+ so he’s below par in converting chances to date.

it’s not unusual for kids to take a while to find their feet, and it’s been very stop start for him… but the figures are there to provide a bit of context.

Milky on the subject of the kids I dont think Marsch has handled it well at all. We can dispute Joffy having a stop start role simply because Marsch has done nothing but big him up and then not use him. Im sure the odd dead leg did happen but not enough to keep him behind Dan James. I also go back to the way he bigged up Sam Greenwood saying he has taken to Marschball better than anyone else in the club. He bigged up young Summerville and the best one was Aaronsons first interview where he was asked about coming to Leeds. He said he is looking forward to playing with Lewis Bate and then Bate went out in loan. I feel Marsch has a team sheet in his head and until he gets that team on the pitch he is struggling to know what to do, and not helping any of the kids

To be honest Doc… he’s just a manager bigging up his players in public. His primary responsibility is to get his best team out on the pitch. He seems to be showing us what he thinks that is. Sunday will show pecking order with all our forwards ‘fit’.

Secondary is to consider player happiness and development - which is an issue at every club.

What goes on behind the scenes is more important than what he says when a microphone is put in front of him. And frankly I don’t have a clue how he handles them behind close doors.

Bielsa preferred James to joffy too. I’m sure they have their reasons.

Lets assume Doc that Marsch isn't up to scratch and ultimately gets his p45, have you any confidence in Orta and Radz to pick the next one. Don't forget Marsch is their fourth managerial appointment, two wastes of space followed by an inspired one and now Marsch, whatever he turns out to be. Were never going to get a big name for all the obvious reasons so do they just keep pulling rabbits out of the hat till they get lucky again

If Joffy was played more, his stats maybe better. But I don't mean to make it a Bamford V Joffy thing. Like I've said before, Bamford maybe better as a link man than out and out striker.. <ok>

    Afternoon all

I’m so relieved we’re not playing until Sunday, at least I can enjoy the Saturday not reflecting on a thrashing.
