Oh dear, was my apology not heartfelt enough for you? Like I said, soft….you’d better get someone to tuck you in tonight.

Very frustrating for majority of the game, not even doing the simple things right. Once we went 3-1 up we relaxed and started to play football.

Thought Bobby, Nunez and Elliott all played well and all deserved their goals, especially pleased for Elliott. Obviously Salah will get the attention, fastest ever CL hat-trick!

I think going forward Harvey is okay
My worry with him is he generally offers very little getting back to help
He is young and I hope he learns

I'd rather go in to the match on the back of the last 45 minutes than if we'd continued to struggle.

Since the formation change there's definitely signs of promise, its not going to happen over night but there's definitely something there.

Commentators were obviously praising Gonez but I thought the same, Elliott's flick made the space for it to happen.

Fantastic ball in by Gomez though; commentators made me laugh with that too though, they claimed Trent would have done the same. No he wouldn't, even if Trent had been on that side he wouldn't have sprinted into the space line Gomez did. Very different players.

agreed. We seemed to totally relax after the third goal…confidence flowed back…just wish we keep it now for the weekend, although City will be relentless I fear!

Shame it's Man City next, I think a few of them will be full of confidence after that.

VVD looked dodgy again though. Think that's effecting the other defensive players.

Mate I was quite happy having a nice chat with mito. It's something we do a fair bit as we have quite different views.

Generally it's in good humour and I hope he takes it in fun when I have a poke at him.

You tried to join in, didn't offer much, so thought it was boss to call me a fool twice. It bores me, much like talking to you since has bored me.

If you want to have a pop, have a pop, I'm happy, but don't pretend to be nice and try to have a pop at the same time.

Like I've said, I've throughly enjoyed this evening, apart from you getting ****ty.

That's my last word to you now.

yeah and I just don’t get why…never had him down as a confidence player…ever. If we play like that first half against City, we’ll be torn to shreds.

He's not been the same since the injury, was that his first major lay off?

It's like hes scared of pushing to hard, going in for a challenge incase he's hurt again.

That aura he had of being invisible has evaporated

I didnt expect the headline to make me so happy. Or realise how sorely they've been missed.

I think he's deteriorated more recently than the injury. Hopefully it's a confidence thing or, as Jimmy suggested, he's being careful with the world cup looming.

Can't see VVD taking it easy because of WC,strikes me as someone who wants to perform his best every game.Think in past he has been the one dependable player and maybe with the bad run of form we've had it's been weighing heavy on him.Either way hopes he gets back to his normal reliable game.
